At 11 p.m., Q. put poison in the milk carton that his father and grandmother often drank, then went to bed.

Accordingly, at about 6 a.m. on October 14, Ms. PTP (83 years old, a grandmother and living in the same house with Q.) discovered that her biological son, Mr. PVY (45 years old), had passed away right in bed.

Immediately after receiving the case, Tien Giang Provincial Police directed professional units to organize a scene examination, examine the victims, and conduct investigation and verification activities.

Based on the results of the examination of samples collected at the scene and the results of the investigation, it was determined that Mr. Y.'s biological son, Q., was involved in the case.

Police then examined the scene, confiscated a number of intact and used milk cartons along with glasses and water bottles at the scene, then sent samples for analysis.

Regarding the case, Tien Giang Provincial Police prosecuted the case and urgently arrested PMQ (residing in Hoa Hung commune, Cai Be district, Tien Giang province) to continue investigating the act of putting dog poison in milk that caused 2 people to die. and 1 person had to go to the hospital for emergency treatment. Article 123 of the 2015 Penal Code stipulates the crime of taking another person's life as follows:

1. Anyone who takes the life of another person in one of the following cases will be sentenced to between 12 and 20 years, life imprisonment or deprived of the right to life:

a) Causing damage to 02 or more people;

b) Taking the life of another person under 16 years old;

c) Taking the life of another woman who knows she is pregnant;

d) Depriving the life of a person on official duty or for reasons of the victim's official duty;

d) Depriving the lives of one's grandparents, father, mother, caregiver, teacher, or teacher;

2. Committing a crime that does not fall into the cases specified in Clause 1 of this Article, the sentence will be from 7 to 15 years.

3. People who prepare to commit this crime will be sentenced from 01 year to 05 years.

4. Offenders may also be banned from practicing certain professions or doing certain jobs for 01 to 05 years, subject to probation or banned from residence for 01 to 05 years.
