One Family is a film that tells the family story of two brothers Tri - Tue played by Duy Hung and Tuan Tu. They were placed in an ironic situation when their father died early and their mother left home to follow a gangster. Tri and Tue were introduced as twins but did not have the same father.

From childhood to adulthood, Tri always sheltered and protected Tue, even sacrificing so that his younger brother could have a proper education. Life is pushing, Tri is immersed and wandering in foreign lands.

After returning, Tri had to face many difficulties and traps. After only a few days of living in the same house with Tue and her husband, Tri had to move out because of his sister-in-law's coldness and discomfort. Tri's efforts to return to justice encountered many difficulties. He was robbed, beaten and cornered many times.

Even so, Tri is still devoted to his family members. The most touching detail commented by the audience in the movie is that Tri hid the story of donating a liver to baby Mam - the daughter of Tue and Khanh (Thanh Huong).

According to the trailer for the last episode, Tri resolves misunderstandings with his biological mother - Mrs. Thu (Van Dung). Tue regrets learning the truth that her brother sacrificed himself for his family again. However, Tri was captured by Mr. Dong - a gangster who is also Ms. Thu's lover - and plotted to break his legs so that he would have to use a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

This situation makes many viewers worry that the movie will end too quickly. Some opinions say that the director and screenwriter One Family were greedy by continuing to push the climax in the final episode. The fact that one episode has to solve all the problems from Mr. Dong paying the price for the crime, Tri being happy with Diep (Quynh Chau), Khanh realizing his selfishness and narrow-mindedness and changing... it's easy to fall into "Elephant head, mouse tail" situation.

Many viewers also questioned the role of the authorities in the movie One Family. The plot of Mr. Dong kidnapping Khai's son (Ha Viet Dung) to force Tri to show up is too absurd.

Besides, some viewers wondered about Khanh's family. Right from the first episode, Khanh's family was fully present at the party welcoming Tri back from abroad. However, in the following developments, the maternal members did not appear. Even when Khanh and Tue encountered difficulties or incidents or when baby Mam discovered he had a serious illness, they were inexplicably absent.

There is an opinion that this is a script error that One Family made, making the film not truly complete. In addition, the construction of one-dimensional characters in the film also received criticism. Accordingly, the film's visualization of Tri makes this character unrealistic. Meanwhile, the character Khanh was heavily criticized for being hateful from the beginning to the end of the film.
