Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung said that during the investigation and verification process, as of December 26, 2024, the additional seized assets included: 1 Mercedes G63 car, 12 billion VND in the account and 18 apartments and villas, with a total value of more than 100 billion VND.

At the same time, an additional 500,000 USD was identified in an account opened abroad, and many other assets are abroad. Hanoi City Police are asking for the opinion of the Ministry of Public Security leaders to coordinate with the Supreme People's Procuracy to implement judicial assistance measures to recover assets abroad in the coming time.

In Pho Duc Nam's e-wallet account, the Investigation Agency has identified a "Cold Wallet" (used to store cryptocurrencies). In case these "Cold Wallets" are paid for domestically, they will be recovered, but it will be more difficult if they are used to buy virtual currency abroad.

Thus, the total value of all seized and frozen assets in the case is currently over VND5,300 billion and will continue to increase, possibly reaching billions of USD once the Ministry of Public Security proceeds to recover the defendants' assets abroad.

Previously, Hanoi City Police had prosecuted 31 defendants, including Pho Duc Nam (born in 1994, residing in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province). On October 25, 2024, Cau Giay District Police, Hanoi City Police coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security's professional departments to arrest dozens of subjects in Pho Duc Nam's gang, and at the same time seized a series of "huge" exhibits worth 5,200 billion VND when they raided the subjects' residences and workplaces.

Including: 316 billion VND in accounts, bonds worth 9 billion VND, savings books worth more than 200 billion VND; 69 billion VND in cash, 2.3 million USD; 890 SJC gold bars; 246 kg of solid gold; 59 famous brand watches, worth about 300 billion VND; 84 pieces of various gold and diamond-encrusted jewelry... In addition, transactions of 125 real estates across the country have been frozen.

In particular, Cau Giay District Police are temporarily holding 31 supercars and 7 luxury motorbikes from famous brands such as Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW or Lamborghini. Among them, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the most expensive, worth about 35-40 billion VND. Dozens of car keys were also seized. Some keys were even cast in solid gold and studded with diamonds.

Among the properties, there are luxury apartments and townhouses, especially 2 luxury apartments in the center of Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, priced at 1 billion VND/m2. The authorities also seized 36 handbags and wallets of famous and expensive brands in the world such as a limited edition Himalayan albino crocodile leather bag priced at over 5 billion VND; Hermes, Gucci, LV bags.

According to the investigation, since 2021, Pho Duc Nam and Le Khac Ngo (registered residence: Building S2, office service area, No. 136 Ho Tung Mau, Phu Dien ward, Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi) have colluded with a Turkish national with an executive office in Morgan Tower, Phnom Penh city, Cambodia and directed 07 subjects in Vietnam to establish many "ghost" companies headquartered in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and several other provinces and cities.

Among them, ARTEX VINA Company Limited (headquarters: Room 1206, Citilight Tower, No. 45 Vo Thi Sau, Ward Da Kao, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) has about 44 representative offices in Vietnam (including 24 offices in Hanoi). Although the Company is not registered to operate in securities and finance, it still recruits about 1,000 employees to operate in the field of foreign exchange and derivative securities trading.

To carry out the frau.d, the subjects created and managed 05 websites (including: Alpha.com, Gtmx.com, Btfx.com, Enzofx.com, Gkfx.com) with English interfaces to create trust for investors that these are international, reputable trading floors, but in fact these websites are all programmed and linked to bank accounts managed by the subjects; each of these trading floors is connected to the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 applications, which are popular foreign exchange and stock trading platforms in the world.

At the same time, Pho Duc Nam and Le Khac Ngo also directed other subjects to recruit employees to work at the Company and decentralize management into many departments (such as: Accounting, Human Resources, IT Department, Sales and Customer Care Department...).
