ILLIT "slipped" to reveal NewJeans' discord, netizens harshly criticized

This post attracted 100,000 reads and 1,300 comments on theqoo. Another post with a similar discussion topic also attracted 74,000 reads with more than 500 comments.

What shocked the audience is that ILLIT has a green record with more than 237,000 followers as one of the official social network accounts of the rookie girl group HYBE, not an account created by a fan. This may even be an account that the 5 ILLIT members (Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) manage themselves, because the posts are all personal photos taken by the female idols.

But they followed a fan account with public statements criticizing NewJeans - a group that belongs to the HYBE group.

Although ILLIT immediately unfollowed the NewJeans anti-fan account, on theqoo, the public reaction to the group's actions was very negative.

A music expert commented on these similarities: "The core of an idol is their idea. Although the details may be different, the overall concept of the two groups is the same. Here may be considered a violation."

Meanwhile, a CEO from a music company also said that these two groups have similar concepts and scheduling them to release products at the same time makes things more complicated.

Experts say that because NewJeans is so successful, HYBE decided to follow this formula "blindly" and this is "disregarding the conscience of creative people". Some people even criticized the corporation's actions as lacking professional ethics.
