The petition was submitted by an account called "ARMY Forever", in which ARMY is the fandom name of BTS. Notably, this application has collected more than 31,000 unanimous signatures after more than a month of initiation.

The above practice caused controversy. Netizens criticized fandoms for blindly putting their faith in HYBE and acting without knowing the truth. However, the number of signatories to the petition is still increasing day by day.
