The investigative police agency determined that in 2018, Thy had set up and managed the fund of "Charity Group 82" on Facebook, for the purpose of calling, selling and raising money for charity and receiving money from benefactors.

PC02 said that it is currently inviting individuals and organizations that have donated money and properties to Thy, "Charity Group 82" and "Doctor Tran Khoa" to PC02 to provide information related to this case.

According to PC02, on the evening of August 7, 2021, the Facebook social network account "Tran Khoa" posted a message that "the doctor" had removed the breathing tube of the mother who was suffering from Covid-19 to make way for the pregnant mother with twins who were being treated with the same patient. room at a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. This "touching" story quickly spread on social networks, attracting many people's attention, and was shared by a series of Facebook accounts.

After checking and verifying, the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City confirmed that the story "Doctor Tran Khoa" is fictional and fabricated.

However, there are many individuals and organizations touched by the above story who donated money and properties to Thy, "Charity Group 82", "Doctor Tran Khoa" and then appropriated by this fake charity group.

Many Facebook accounts were later sanctioned by the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City for information and sharing of fabricated stories about "Dr. Tran Khoa".

Specifically, on the afternoon of August 9, 2021, the Inspector of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City had a meeting with the subject of registration and use of Facebook accounts Nguyen Duc Hien and Hoang Nguyen Vu about providing, sharing untrue information, causing confusion in public opinion, affecting the city's epidemic prevention and control.

At the meeting, these two facebook account owners admitted that, due to the desire to share their feelings for the sacrifice of "Doctor Khoa", but lacked thorough verification of the source, they unintentionally shared information. according to the content posted on the facebook account "Tran Khoa" and this content is not real. After that, the two accounts above promptly removed the post and apologized.

On the same day, the Inspector of the Department of Information and Communications issued a decision to sanction administrative violations against these two facebook account holders for providing and sharing false information on social networks according to point a. , Clause 1, Article 101, Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, and public transport. information technology and electronic transactions.
