Cam Ly strongly shares MV OST Ma Da, the film earns nearly 50 billion, receives many compliments

After a series of scandals surrounding the movie Ma Da related to the role of Cam Ly and Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc, the show was cut off from the airwaves, with only a few minutes left. The producer apologized, Cam Ly made a move to "keep the peace", but the fans were still constantly harsh.

In the past few days, the movie Ma Da was officially released. Although it was announced that the roles of two names, singer Cam Ly and Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc, were announced, when it reached the audience, the roles of both were only 2-3 minutes long, while it was known that both of them spent 2 weeks traveling with the film crew.

It can be seen that, although fans are constantly harsh, the female singer still shows a very good attitude towards the producer of the film Ma Da. The OST MV of Ma Da also received many positive comments, through Cam Ly's soulful and emotional voice.

Some opinions also said that the movie Ma Da by director Nhat Trung is suspected of being manipulated by a third party. Because not only did Cam Ly's fans flood in to leave nasty comments, not to demand justice for their idol, but they also dragged in many more people, calling out Hoai Linh's name, even though the male comedian did not have a role in the movie. In March 2023, producer Nhat Trung launched the film Ma da with the main actress Viet Huong and the participation of Meritorious Artist Dieu Duc, Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc, and singer Cam Ly. During the film's promotional activities in Korea, Australia, and Vietnam in early August, artists Thanh Loc and Cam Ly were both absent.

According to the crew, this film reached the top 1 Vietnamese horror film revenue on the first day of release with 11.34 billion VND. According to statistics from The Box Office Vietnam, after just over 4 days of release (plus 1 day of pre-release), Ma da has earned nearly 50 billion VND.

That shows that the attraction of Ma da is not inferior to foreign films such as Conan, Deadpool and Wolverine in the Vietnamese market. If only counting the last 3 days of the weekend, Ma da has pocketed more than 40.2 billion VND, three times more than Handsome See Mistakes with more than 13 billion VND. Notably, Ma da sold 471,073 tickets, 3.5 times more than Korean films and 10 times more than Detective Conan: The 1 Million Dollar Star, which is in 3rd place.

Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc and singer Cam Ly spent many days filming in Nam Can, Ca Mau, and were promoted in the list of actors participating in the film. Both had posters for their roles and were also one of the factors attracting media attention.

"I apologize to you both because during the post-production and editing process, I removed many scenes that you spent a lot of effort to complete. This was a must to get the current version of the film, which led to your roles being reduced in length compared to the original plans!" - director Nhat Trung shared in the letter.

Director Nhat Trung made it clear that he invited singer Cam Ly to play a role in the movie Ma da, as well as sing the theme song and film additional scenes for the MV. "At first, we planned to use the images in the MV in the movie, so the filming time was quite long, but then it was cut down due to editing the final version. I hope you understand and wait for Cam Ly's MV," the producer said.
