On July 31, The Bell newspaper reported that HYBE Group invested more than 16 billion won (about 12.2 million USD) in the rookie girl group New Jeans. In conjunction with Weverse Company, the corporation develops an application called Phoning to create a means of communication for New Jeans and fans.

Initially, HYBE only invested 100 million won (about 76,700 USD) for ADOR - New Jeans' management company. But the number increased to 10 billion won (about 7.6 million USD) and then another 6 billion won (about 4.6 million USD).

ADOR is led by CEO Min Hee Jin. After joining SM Entertainment in 2002, Min Hee Jin was in charge of conceptual planning and visual direction for SNSD, SHINee, f(x), EXO, and Red Velvet. In 2019, she transferred to the general manager of brand of HYBE and was appointed CEO of ADOR in November 2021. New Jeans is Min Hee Jin's first group since joining HYBE.

According to The Bell, HYBE has been focusing on diversifying business activities as well as expanding the artist lineup to reduce dependence on BTS because this group's revenue accounts for a high proportion.

It can be seen that the reputation and prestige of HYBE is built on the foundation of the resounding success of the global group BTS, which is undisputed. New Jeans was famous before debut thanks to its different music and invested MVs. New Jeans' debut album recorded 444,000 pre-orders as of July 27. This is the highest pre-order of any K-pop girl group debuting this year.

NewJeans' MVs are carefully and meticulously built in terms of concept, with the main style being dynamic, slightly trending Y2K. NewJeans' music also received many compliments for its diversity in mixes and international trends. The group officially debuted on August 1.
