A neatly dressed man left his car on Broken Bridge in Binh Duong, then suddenly threw himself into the Be River and disappeared. There was no one else at the scene at the time of the incident.

The incident happened on the afternoon of December 9 at Phuoc Hoa Bridge (also known as Gay Bridge) in Phuoc Hoa commune, Phu Giao district, Binh Duong province. At 4:30 p.m. the same day, the authorities were urgently searching for victims and clarifying the cause of the incident.

According to images recorded by security cameras, around 2:00 p.m., a man drove a white car to Cau Gay. After getting out of the car, this person pressed the car door lock and walked around the bridge railing. A moment later, he suddenly threw himself into the Be River and disappeared.

Some people came to this area and discovered a car on the bridge but did not see the driver, so they reported it to the authorities. Immediately after receiving the news, rescue forces coordinated with local authorities to organize a search for victims.

Previously, on November 15, a young man named BHP (born 1991, residing in Binh Duong) also rode a motorbike to this area, then ended his life and went missing. By evening, rescue forces from Binh Duong Provincial Police were still looking for a trace of the victim. Due to the late night and fast-flowing river water, the search team encountered many difficulties.

Through images extracted from the camera, at approximately 3:00 p.m. on the same day, a young man drove a motorbike to Cau Gay bridge (Phuoc Hoa commune, Phu Giao district, Binh Duong). As soon as he stopped the car, the young man looked around and then threw himself into the river.

At the time the young man acted rashly, there were a few people standing in the above area. But because he acted so quickly, people didn't have time to stop him.

The location where the incident occurred is a famous historical site in Binh Duong province. Many film crews used to come here to ask for permission to film. In 1975, the bridge was collapsed by the US. Up to now, it has still maintained its original shape and has become a tourist attraction that attracts many tourists to enjoy and sightsee.

The bridge construction was aimed at colonial exploitation, as well as expanding rubber plantations in Phu Giao, Phuoc Long... and this was a vital route to the provinces in the Central Highlands.

According to a survey by the Relics Management Board of Binh Duong province, the bridge has a width of more than 4.5m, the length of each side of the remaining bridge after the break is about 50m, including 3 spans of steel and concrete beams. The highest point on both sides of the bridge is 6m, the lowest is 3.5m, the foot of the bridge is 30m high.

In the 1930s, the struggle movement of workers on rubber plantations broke out strongly, the enemy considered the bridge as a scaffold, a shooting point and the Song Be river became a deep grave of revolutionaries.

Faced with the brutal repression of the enemy, the people stood up and fought fiercely, at this time Song Be bridge became the gateway to war zone D. With determination to win, in 1945, the red flag with a yellow star was placed on the bridge to show sovereignty.

After liberation, the authorities of Song Be province (formerly) now Binh Duong province built a double bridge named Phuoc Hoa bridge for people to conveniently travel. However, the broken Song Be bridge is still preserved without being dismantled and has become an ideal tourist destination for tourists from all over.
