Bac Giang: Truck loses control and crashes into shampoo shop, causing 1 person to not survive

On the evening of January 7, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bich, Chairman of the People's Committee of Viet Lap commune (Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province) said that in the area, there had just been a serious traffic accident that caused 4 casualties.

According to Vietnamnet, at about 13:45 pm on January 7, a truck with control plate 90C-02.605 was traveling on the road in Viet Lap commune, Tan Yen, Bac Giang when there was a serious traffic accident.

At that time, the truck collided with a Yamaha Exciter BKS 98B2-14182 motorcycle driven by Mr. D.V.C (SN 1992) in Hang Rice village, Viet Lap commune. As a result, Mr. C died on the spot.

Not stopping there, the truck continued to rush into the roadside hair shampoo barbershop, smashing the glass door. At the time of the accident, the hair salon had 4 people (including 3 customers and 1 employee), when the truck crashed into the shop, only 1 customer sitting in the innermost position was not hit by the car, while 3 others had a strong collision with the vehicle or were hit by debris.

After the accident occurred, the truck driver left the scene and went to the Tan Yen District Police to report the incident.

Initial verification results showed that the driver of the car had no stimulants in his system. The reason why the car loses control and rushes into the shampoo shop is to avoid the motorcycle going in the opposite direction from falling onto the road.

Specifically, during the traffic, the driver of the car discovered that the motorcycle and the operator, although not colliding with anyone, fell on the road, so he tried to steer to the right to dodge. However, both the motorcycle and the operator were still inserted by the rear wheel of the car that did not survive. Then the car pulled into the shampoo shop on the side of the road.

Currently, the police of Tan Yen district are continuing to verify the circumstances of the incident through the scene cameras and witnesses of the accident.

According to the research of the Traffic Newspaper, through searching vehicle registration information, the truck in the traffic accident is a dump truck, the owner of the vehicle on the registration data is Truong Thanh Cong Mechanical Co., Ltd. (Thanh Liem, Ha Nam), manufactured in 2014.

Earlier, on January 4, a similar traffic accident occurred on Ho Chi Minh Street (Quang Tri province) which was congested for hours.

Accordingly, in the afternoon of January 4, Mr. Thai Ngoc Chau, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dakrong district (Quang Tri) said that the functional forces are handling the scene to clear the Ho Chi Minh road west branch which is congested due to a tractor-trailer causing a self-inflicted accident.

Around 9:30 a.m. on the same day, the tractor-trailer plate 74H-001. XX, towing trailer plate number 74R-006. XX was driven by Nguyen Quang Trung (resident of Ward 1, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri) in the direction of A Luoi - Dakrong, to Km289 of Ho Chi Minh Street west branch (section through A Lieng village (Ta Rut commune, Dakrong district) caused the accident.

At the scene, the front end of the tractor-trailer crashed into Ho Van Gia's stilt house, damaging some furniture in the house. The trailer was blocking the whole roadway of Ho Chi Minh, all the dried cassava on the trunk of the car poured into the road. The incident caused Ho Chi Minh Street to be congested for hours.

"The crane was dispatched to the scene, the functional forces are coordinating to handle the traffic, it is expected that until 7 p.m. to be able to reopen the vehicle," said the leader of the Dakrong District People's Committee.
