According to information from the People's Police Newspaper, at 20:30 on August 27, at Quan Ivory market area (Tan Tien commune), 1 black Mitsubishi Xpander 7-seater car, control plate 15K - 066xx moved from National Highway 5 when crossing the railway to turn into the horizontal road, due to the driver's failure to observe, he was hit by the train HLP7 on the route Hanoi - Hai Phong.

At the time of the accident, in a car carrying 9 people, including 5 children, the collision injured 2 people on the car, the car was badly damaged, the head was shattered.

Receiving the news, immediately the rescue and rescue forces of An Duong district police were promptly present, deployed rescue, took the victims to medical facilities for treatment and care.

According to preliminary information, the 7-seater car may be driven by Ms. N.T.H (born in 1989, permanent resident of Ngo Quyen district, Hai Phong) carrying 8 people, including 5 children. The identities of 8 people are: N.D.M (born in 1981, husband of Ms. H., permanent resident of Le Chan district, Hai Phong), N.K.N.M (born in 2015), N.D.D.P (born in 2018), N.D.G.T (born in 2020), N.T.T (born in 1990, permanent resident of Ngo Quyen district), Q.M.N (born in 1986, husband of Ms. T.), Q.N.H (born in 2014) and Q.N.A (born in 2017).

According to information from VNExpress, residents and authorities took 4 adults and 5 children to the emergency hospital. Information provided by her family, Ms. N.T.T suffered broken ribs and N. T.H suffered a cerebral hematoma, a broken jaw bone and was being treated at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital (Hanoi), the rest of the people and children suffered minor injuries.

The accident caused the passenger train to stop for 30 minutes.

The Traffic Police Department is coordinating with the An Duong District Police to investigate the accident. The initial cause was determined to be a lack of observation by motorists when crossing railroads.

In addition, the leader of Tan Tien commune added that at this time, cars crossed the railway to turn into the horizontal road. The area where the accident occurred has no barriers, no guards, warnings, and localities have also repeatedly had comments and suggestions related to this issue. This is the first time the area has had a rail accident.

"Two adults were seriously injured," said Nguyen Van Tho, chairman of Tan Tien commune.

Earlier, on July 10, at the road crossing An Duong district, there was also an accident between a 7-seater car and a train. The passenger ship crashed a car into a rice field, killing one person and injuring 4.

When crossing the opening at Km87 400 in An Hung commune, An Duong district, Hai Phong city, there was a collision with train number P3 pulling 12 passenger cars.

The car was thrown into the field, tens of meters away, badly damaged. All 5 occupants of the car were injured and taken to the emergency hospital. However, one female victim (SN 1954) died on the way to the hospital.

The Hanoi - Hai Phong railway through Hai Phong city has a length of over 24.8km, passing through four districts, An Duong, Hong Bang, Le Chan, Ngo Quyen districts, there exist many crossings at the same level with roads. In particular, there are points that are self-opening residential paths, without management units, which are the main cause of road and railway traffic accidents.

Although the wards and communes in the districts of the city through which the railway line passes have signed a commitment to the Coordination Regulation between the Ministry of Transport and the City People's Committee, these crossings always have a high risk of accidents.
