Recently, Ms. Bui Tuyet Giao returned to Hai Duong to work with the authorities to solve the case of being physically affected by her husband, Mr. Tran Van Luan during pregnancy.

On May 22, Vietnamnet had an exclusive interview at the police headquarters of Kim Thanh district with Ms. Bui Tuyet Giao. Ms. Giao is the main character in the case of being beaten by her husband when she was 7 months pregnant, causing a storm on social networks.

Sharing with the reporter, Ms. Giao added remarkable information: "I left my husband's hometown (Kim Thanh district) last weekend. I received the enthusiastic and thoughtful support of a kind person in the village. Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province, Public security agencies and authorities at all levels are also interested in guiding me on necessary legal procedures This morning, I officially went to Kim Thanh District People's Court to file for divorce from him. The court also accepted the application and promised to resolve it as soon as possible so that I could return to my motherland, do business and raise my children."

The leader of Kim Thanh District Police later confirmed the information that Ms. Giao had filed for divorce from her husband. It is known that the couple had a conflict during their living together in Kim Thanh district. They often have conflicts, due to lack of money, Mr. Luan suspects his wife is having an affair.

During the last meeting with the police agency, Luan claimed that he had 3 hands with his wife. The first time is by hand. The second time is to use a plastic hair comb about 40cm long. For the third time, Luan used a leather belt on his hands, causing her hands, feet, back, shoulders and buttocks to be hurt.

Meanwhile, Ms. Giao said that about a year ago, her husband often touched her hands and feet. The peak period occurs around May 1 - May 10, 2023. On May 1, Mr. Luan used a rice cooker plug to physically impact Giao, then used a clothes hanger. Another time, this husband heated a clothes hanger and then pressed it to his wife's face, feet and hands. The pregnant woman asserted that her husband often physically affected her until he saw that she was exhausted before stopping, he said he would not make her die, but let her die gradually. Her husband also kept her under house arrest, not allowing her to use her phone, so she could not call for help or escape.

Currently, Kim Thanh district police investigation agency is soliciting assessment of Ms. Giao's injuries. When the results are available, the police will continue to investigate and verify the case.
