Tragedy on the 2nd of Tet: My younger brother fell in love with his mother and brother because of a land dispute

On January 30, the People's Committee of Quang Yen Town, Quang Ninh said that it had received a report from the Quang Yen Town Police about the felony case that occurred in Song Khoai commune.

Specifically, at about 6:30 a.m. on the same day (the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year), Mr. Le Quang Vinh (born 1940, residing in Village 9, Song Khoai commune) went to the house of Ms. Dao Thi Cai (born 1933, is a neighbor) and saw Mr. Do Van Xuong Anh (born 1958, Ms. Cai's son) coming out of the house and saying "he stabbed me" and then collapsed. At this time, Mr. Vinh saw Mr. Do Van Luu (SN 1973, Ms. Cai's son) riding a motorbike from the yard to the outside of the gate.

Mr. Vinh immediately exhaled, then the surrounding people ran into the house and found that Ms. Cai was dead. People took Mr. Xuong Anh to the emergency room, but because the wound was too severe, he did not survive.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Quang Yen Town Police urgently arrived at the scene for an initial examination and investigation of the cause of the incident. Initially, the suspect was identified as Mr. Do Van Luu (Ms. Cai's son).

The initial cause was determined to be due to internal conflicts within the family in dividing the land sale money. Mr. Liu has no criminal record, no criminal record, is not subject to management of prohibited substances, criminal, is not mentally ill or affected in any way and does normal business in the locality. At 9:05 a.m. on the same day, the Quang Yen Town Police arrested Mr. Do Van Luu who was hiding in Nam Hoa Ward, Quang Yen Town.

It is cruel but not uncommon for children to fall into trouble with their mothers. 1 month ago, on January 4, the Quang Nam Provincial Police Investigative Agency served a decision to prosecute the accused, a temporary detention order for Doan Mai Khanh (30 years old, residing in Dai Thang commune, Dai Loc district) for the crime of committing acts against others.

According to the initial confession, Doan Mai Khanh lived with her mother, Mrs. M.T.B.H. (55 years old). At about 7 o'clock, on December 31, 2024, Khanh was angry that Mrs. H. woke up late and did not prepare breakfast for her, so she used a knife to impact her mother until she was no longer alive.

To hide the crime, Khanh waited until about 21 o'clock on the same day and then wrapped it with a blanket (blanket) and pulled it to the river bank to cover his eyes. On the way, Khanh was discovered and taken to the commune police headquarters to work...

Also on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, another terrifying story also happened at the family in Ca Mau. On January 31 (i.e. the 3rd day of Tet), a leader of the People's Committee of Hoa Thanh commune (Ca Mau city, Ca Mau province) confirmed that an incident of pouring gasoline and setting fire to a house had just occurred in the area, injuring 3 people.

Initial information, at 2:22 a.m. on January 30 (i.e. the 2nd day of Tet), the house of Ms. Phan Mong C. (born 1980, Hoa Thanh commune, Ca Mau city) was poured with gasoline and set on fire by outsiders. At the time of the incident, Ms. C.'s house had 6 people. The fire injured 3 people, including: Lam Kim A. (Ms. C's biological mother) was severely burned; Ms. Phan Vu D. (Ms. C's sister) had burns on her hands and feet, and Ms. C had minor burns on her legs.

At the scene of the incident, the fire burned and damaged many properties, initially estimated at about 14 million VND. As soon as the news was received, the commune police force was present at the scene where the incident occurred, coordinated with the Ca Mau City Police force to make a dossier, and invited relevant people to work according to regulations.

Through initial investigation, the police identified the person who started the fire as Phan Tan S. (45 years old - Ms. A's biological son). The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by the police.
