Recently, the investigative police agency of the Ministry of Public Security (C01) has issued a decision to prosecute the accused and execute a detention order for Mr. Tran Qui Thanh - Chairman of Tan Hiep Phat Trading and Service Co., Ltd.
Mr. Tran Qui Thanh was investigated by C01 for abusing trust to appropriate property.
The case involving President Tan Hiep Phat has been prosecuted by C01 since March 2021 to clarify the scandals related to the denunciation of Mr. Thanh's family.
However, in November 2022, the Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security temporarily suspended the investigation of the case due to the expiration of the time limit and the need to further clarify some contents related to the expertise.
Specifically, the case was prosecuted based on the denunciation of Mr. Le Van Lam - general director of Kim Oanh Investment and Development Joint Stock Company - and some other individuals who denounced Ms. Tran Uyen Phuong and Tran Ngoc Bich. along with a number of individuals who committed fraud to appropriate property, which are real estate projects of particularly great value in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai.
Ms. Uyen Phuong and Ms. Ngoc Bich are the daughters of Mr. Tran Quy Thanh - Chairman of Tan Hiep Phat Group.
According to the denunciation, Mr. Thanh and some related individuals committed acts of abusing trust to appropriate property, evading taxes through the transfer of projects and shares of CT, causing damage to the Company. Kim Oanh development is more than 1,000 billion VND.
Previously, in December 2020, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City received a request from the Ministry of Public Security to prevent all fluctuations (transfer, purchase, sale, donation, donation, mortgage, etc.) and requested to provide all documents and legal documents related to 33 land plots in Binh Tan district and Thu Duc city, all under the name of Ms. Tran Uyen Phuong.
In Dong Nai, at the request of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial People's Committee has asked the departments, branches and Long Thanh District People's Committee to maintain the status quo, legal procedures and suspend all changes in the real estate joint stock company. Minh Thanh Dong Nai and a planned service residential area project in An Phuoc commune, Long Thanh district (invested by Minh Thanh Dong Nai Real Estate Company).
These CTs and real estate projects in Dong Nai are also involved in the denunciation against the family of Mr. Thanh and Ms. Uyen Phuong.
