At noon of the same day, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Mau, Chief of Tuyen Quang City Police (Tuyen Quang province) informed that the male driver who caused the above accident was Nguyen Khuong D. (30 years old, in Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province).

"After identification, Mr. D. is a police officer of the Criminal Investigation Police Team on criminal, economic and banned substances of Yen Son District Police. Regarding the results of the alcohol test on the male driver, we are sending the sample and do not have the results yet," said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Mau.

Regarding the issue of wives taking the blame for their husbands, the leader of Tuyen Quang City Police affirmed that there are no exceptions and that they will definitely deal with it seriously no matter who it is. "There is no such thing as a wife taking the blame for her husband, or asking someone else to take the blame for her. The investigation agency has also summoned the man driving the motorbike in the incident to come in for questioning," he said.

Previously, as Dan Tri reported, at around 5:00 p.m. on December 21, car with license plate 22A-186.xx, driven by a person, was traveling on a road in group 10, Nong Tien ward, Tuyen Quang city when it suddenly encountered a motorbike going in the opposite direction crossing the street.

Due to the sudden situation, the car driver swerved to avoid the motorbike but unfortunately crashed straight into house number 26, group 10, Nong Tien ward of Mr. T. (born in 1995). At that time, there was a woman and a little girl standing in front of the door. After the collision, the little girl passed away due to severe injuries.

Speaking with Dan Viet reporter, Doctor of Law Dang Van Cuong, Head of Chinh Phap Law Office, said that according to legal regulations, drivers must drive in the correct lane, on the correct part of the road, pay attention to observation and control speed.

When encountering an obstacle, you must reduce your speed to the lowest level and possibly stop to avoid a collision. In the situation that took place in the clip, two vehicles (a car and a motorbike) were at risk of colliding with each other, however, both vehicles swerved, causing a traffic collision, but the car crashed into a roadside store, resulting in the death of a child.

The clip also shows that when the man driving the motorbike crossed the lane, the car not only did not slow down but also accelerated, went faster and turned to the right, crashing into a house along the road, leading to the accident. Therefore, the authorities will clarify the fault of the two drivers to determine legal responsibility.

According to Mr. Cuong, if the verification results show that the driver did not control the speed, possibly mistakenly stepped on the gas pedal, leading to the accident, the authorities will prosecute the case to handle this person for violating regulations on road traffic participation.

For motorcyclists, changing lanes like this is a traffic violation, but it does not necessarily lead to a traffic accident, so this person may be subject to administrative penalties.

In the case of a motorcyclist going in the opposite direction, the car driver can completely reduce the speed to the lowest level. If a collision occurs, the fault lies entirely with the motorcyclist, changing direction to avoid that person is only allowed when ensuring safety.

However, in this situation, the driver of the car turned the wheel without reducing speed, leading to a traffic accident. If there was no technical error, this person could be prosecuted.
