Duc Tien's paternal family spoke up to defend their daughter-in-law and criticize the late actor's biological mother.

On October 28, the inheritance dispute between Miss Binh Phuong (wife of the late actor Duc Tien) and Ms. Ngoc Anh (63 years old, Duc Tien's biological mother) ended.

According to the court's decision, Duc Tien's wife is entitled to 70% of her husband's total inheritance. The late artist's biological mother alone is entitled to more than 2 billion VND, including 2/3 of the inheritance regardless of the will and 10% of the value of the house in Thu Duc - the disputed property.

Ms. Anh was not satisfied with this result and decided to appeal. Her lawyer representative said: "The first instance verdict just announced did not meet Ms. Anh's expectations. In the near future, we will proceed with the appeal."

Also present at the trial, Mrs. Sang - actor Duc Tien's stepmother - received much attention. Sharing with the media, she expressed her anger and dissatisfaction with Mrs. Anh when fighting over the inheritance. At the same time, she affirmed that this was Mrs. Anh's own decision, not representing Duc Tien's paternal family.

Mrs. Sang said: "Please remember that we represent Duc Tien's paternal side. We never have any opinions. We never give anything back. Who would fight over food with their children or grandchildren? There is no such thing on Duc Tien's paternal side, only Tien's mother."

During the sharing session, Duc Tien's stepmother said that although she is not related by blood to the male artist, she loves her daughter-in-law and grandchildren very much.

She sent a message to her grandchild: "Little Cat, although I am not the one who gave birth to your father, I am the one who is close to him and he is a very kind person but unfortunately he passed away early. Grow up well and listen to your mother to be like your father."

At the trial, Mrs. Sang attended as a witness, speaking up to defend her daughter-in-law. According to her, the house in Thu Duc - the disputed property - was built with money sent by Duc Tien and his wife, and the person in charge of the construction was her husband - Duc Tien's biological father.

She said: "At that time, my nephew came back to consult me, I said it was not possible. He said 'my future wife and I will pool money to buy and build, you don't have to worry'. I witnessed Binh Phuong sending money back, so in my subjective opinion, the house originated from Duc Tien and his wife's money."

During his lifetime, Duc Tien once shared about his incomplete family situation because his parents divorced when he was only 5 years old, lacking love from a young age. After his parents separated, he lived with his aunt. When he was in 10th grade, the male artist moved back to live with his father and stepmother.

According to her, Mrs. Sang has a good relationship with her husband's stepchildren. She is the one who raised Duc Tien until he grew up and got married.

Previously, in 2024, during a trip to bring her daughter back to Vietnam, Miss Binh Phuong visited her husband's biological father and stepmother in Bien Hoa. She once shared: "Today, Phuong visited the two people who raised Phuong's husband since he was young. When I come here, I have to visit both my paternal and maternal grandparents, so that Meo can know the people who loved Meo's father, gave him a good education, and took great care of him.
