In recent days, public opinion has been particularly interested in information surrounding the relationship between beauty queen Binh Phuong – wife of the late actor Duc Tien – and her mother-in-law. In response to many rumors on social media, Binh Phuong held a long livestream to directly share his views as well as clarify information that was considered incorrect.

During the conversation, Binh Phuong confirmed that she was under a lot of pressure when she was constantly labeled as a "terrible daughter-in-law", fighting over property, and even kicking her mother-in-law out of the house. She expressed: "That is completely untrue. They made up a lot of stories, creating drama that put me under a lot of pressure." The beauty said that she and her mother-in-law had discussed the property issue but so far they have not found a common voice. Binh Phuong recounted: "Actually, my mother and I have talked to each other but so far we have not found a common voice. On my mother's side, she believes that Duc Tien's property is also hers, so she should keep it and not divide it among Tien's siblings. My point of view is that everything must be divided among everyone, including the wife, children, and siblings in the family."

These shares show a big difference in opinion between the two sides. While the mother-in-law believes that she has the right to keep all of the late actress’s assets, Binh Phuong raises the issue of fair division among many family members, including her and Duc Tien’s young daughter – Meo.

One of the points that caught the public's attention was the house in Thu Duc, which is said to be worth about 14 billion VND. Binh Phuong affirmed that this figure was not given by her, but by the valuation company. The beauty shared more: "In the will, Mr. Tien did not leave that house to his mother because he had already divided the property with her before. Mr. Tien himself also put that house up for sale in 2023 and got his mother's consent before putting it up for sale. That is, Mr. Tien had already taken care of everything for his mother before putting the house up for sale."

According to her analysis, the current law stipulates that the property will be divided in half: half belongs to Binh Phuong, half belongs to Duc Tien. Of Duc Tien's portion, it will be divided into three parts for his mother, wife and children. Thus, the mother-in-law will receive 1/3 of that amount. However, to show goodwill, Binh Phuong said that before going to court, she was willing to negotiate for her mother-in-law to receive more than the regulation. But the mother-in-law did not agree, wanting to receive all the property in Vietnam and half of the house in the US.

"There will be a day of reconciliation before the trial. I have negotiated for my mother to receive an additional portion, more than the legal portion, but she refused to accept that number. She wants to receive all the real estate assets in Vietnam and half of the house in the US," Binh Phuong said.

On August 15, Binh Phuong submitted new evidence to the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City. The beauty explained: "I have been silent all this time, because if I spoke up early, many people would think I was stupid or easily bullied. But actually, I want the evidence to speak for itself. Currently, all information reflects the truth, no longer the scene where people only listen to one side like before."

Behind the controversy over assets, Binh Phuong's current life also attracts attention. After her husband passed away, she decided to quit her job of many years to start a new one, both to take care of her children and to have more financial resources to cover expenses, including the installment payment for a house in the US. In addition, Binh Phuong took over the YouTube channel that Duc Tien used to manage, regularly posting videos sharing about the daily life of mother and child. This is also her way to preserve memories with her husband, while creating a source of income to stabilize her life.
