Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang passed away at 7:30 p.m. on October 20 at the hospital at the age of 54. For more than a year, he has been focusing on treating stomach and lung diseases. The artist's funeral was held at Hamlet 11, Hiep Phuoc Commune, Ho Chi Minh City from the morning of October 21.

On the morning of October 24, his family will take him to the funeral. It is known that on the evening of October 22, despite the heavy rain, many friends and colleagues were still present to see the male artist off.

Artists such as Phuong Hang, Cam Tien, Trong Phuc, Le Tu,... were present early to send condolences and encourage the late artist's family.

Previously, in the morning, People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau, People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi, director Thanh Hiep... representing the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association came to visit Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang.

Trinh Kim Chi emotionally recounted that on October 3, the anniversary of the death of the theater's founder, she called to ask about Minh Hoang's health. He smiled and said: "I was afraid that if we met again this time, you wouldn't recognize me," which made the female artist feel heartbroken.

"At that time, she was very sick, everyone and I were heartbroken and worried about her health. We never expected that what she said would come true, Hoang was gone from us," she choked up.

In Trinh Kim Chi, Nguyen Minh Hoang is a devoted, gentle artist, always devoted to the stage. She hopes her colleague will leave peacefully, leaving behind regrets in those who stay.

Meritorious Artist Phan Quoc Kiet - Director of Tran Huu Trang Theater commented that Minh Hoang's passing is a great loss for the unit. He was gentle, responsible, and always quietly devoted to the troupe.

An artist working at Tran Huu Trang Theater also said that on the day Minh Hoang passed away, according to the schedule, he was supposed to be present at the Theater that morning to practice with his colleagues the play "Tieng Trong Me Linh" which would be performed for the audience in Binh Duong on the evening of October 22.

Not seeing Minh Hoang, his colleagues called his family and found out that he was weak and tired and had been taken to the emergency room. Unexpectedly, his condition worsened, he fell into a coma and passed away. The most heartbreaking thing was that Minh Hoang left this world on his birthday - October 20.

Director Thanh Hiep added that Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang loves his job so much that even when he is sick, he still wants to go to the practice room.

During his treatment, he still played a role as an assistant to People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau in the opera Fire of Saigon. Minh Hoang's last performance was on the evening of October 15th.

Thanh Hiep commented that Minh Hoang does not work in a noisy, competitive way, but chooses a steadfast path, living fully with his profession with dedication and sincere love for the stage.

A colleague wrote to Minh Hoang: "I still remember the lessons with you in the K1 - HSK Directing Class. You were always there, wholeheartedly supporting and teaching your juniors. You often gave me tickets to see you sing, telling me: "If you meet the ticket seller, tell her your name is Mr. Hoang, then you can come in and see."

I still begged you to teach me to sing, but now... I don't have the chance anymore.

People always remember Anh as a dedicated, gentle artist, always devoted to the stage - now quietly leaving the spotlight, leaving behind much grief in the hearts of colleagues and audiences.

Although Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang has passed away, his works, roles and artistic imprints will forever remain in the hearts of audiences. His silent contributions to the Cai Luong stage will always be respected and remembered as a beautiful part of Vietnamese art.
