Standing in front of her husband's altar in her new house, Miss Binh Phuong, wife of the late actor Duc Tien, has just spoken out to refute false rumors related to her personal life and property disputes after her husband passed away.
She affirmed that she was deeply hurt by the slande.r and said she would no longer remain silent in the face of fabricated words.
"I'll speak up once to correct them because if I stay silent, they'll think they're right and start spreading false rumors and ridiculing me. I can't shut anyone's mouth because their mouth belongs to them. Their mouth belongs to them, I can't shut it. Whoever says something wrong about me is guilty," Binh Phuong said.
According to the late artist's wife, she was falsely accuse.d by some people of "cuckolding" her husband when he was still alive, and of immediately removing the altar and preventing her mother-in-law from entering the house when she moved to a new house. These rumors were widely spread after she moved and carried out legal procedures related to her husband's inheritance.
"They always tell people that when I moved to a new house, I removed the altar and stopped worshiping Mr. Tien. Then, when Mr. Tien was still alive, I betrayed him, and then I moved to a new house with my new husband."
Binh Phuong emphasized that she had to speak up to protect her personal honor, as well as to send a message to her relatives and friends who had unintentionally received false information.
"I want to make a correction once and for all to the audience, relatives, uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters, those who have been texting and spreading this information. I advise everyone to stop here. Everything has its own law and price."
Regarding the lawsuit that is attracting attention, Miss Binh Phuong also made it clear that she did not sue her mother-in-law to seize property but only followed the will left by her husband, under the supervision of the law.
"I would also like to clarify to everyone that I did not sue my mother-in-law, but I was the one who filed a petition to the court to divide Mr. Tien's assets according to his will and in accordance with the law.
I did not take away any of my mother-in-law's or anyone else's assets. I even asked the court to divide the assets that were not in the will. So, I hope everyone does not say that I am suing to take Mr. Tien's assets. This is completely untrue."
She also emphasized that her husband's altar is still placed solemnly in the new house as a way to preserve memories and respect for the deceased.
"Today, I won't say much more. I just want to show everyone clearly that I still display Mr. Tien's altar in my new house. I did not remove the altar as the false rumors say."
Previously, according to information from VnExpress and some other newspapers, in early March 2025, Miss Binh Phuong sued her mother-in-law - Ms. Ngoc Anh - at the People's Court of Thu Duc City to request to receive the assets left by the late artist Duc Tien, including a house in Linh Dong Ward, Thu Duc City and a plot of land in Duc Hoa District, Long An Province. Ms. Anh is now asking the court to declare that she is entitled to 50% of the value of the disputed house.
