U50 woman defies public opinion, wedding with best friend's son and ending

In 2023, Indonesian netizens were "shocked" by the news that a 41-year-old woman married an immature teenager. Specifically, Mariana had a wedding with her young husband Kevin in the surprise of the online community.

Many argue that the couple's romance will not last long because the age gap is too large. However, speaking to the Indonesian press, Mariana said that Kevin was an adult, so she agreed to accept the marriage proposal.

"I like him. He has a tall body, like an adult, not like a boy," Mariana expressed. And as expected, after only 1 year of marriage, both of these people broke up quickly.

Before moving into the same house with Kevin, Mariana was economically sound, a grocery store owner and owned a house in Indonesia. The U50 woman said of meeting the young man for the first time: "I never thought Kevin would be my husband. When we first met, Kevin was only 12 years old. At that time, he called me aunt."

At the age of 16, the relationship between the two changed. At that time, Mariana was separated by her fiancé. She fell into a mood of despair, sadness and distress. Seeing her best friend sad after the breakdown of her marriage, Kevin's mother felt uncomfortable, so she often encouraged and lifted the other person's spirit.

After overcoming the shock, Mariana expresses her desire to be able to love Kevin in order to get married. At first, the woman thought Kevin's mother disagreed. However, contrary to her thoughts, her best friend quickly nodded and wished the two would be a couple. The boy also agreed to go on a date he used to call "auntie" and get married after a short period of courtship.

The online community at that time thought that Kevin's mother and daughter were greedy, wanted to share a house with Mariana to inherit her fortune. The marriage of this lopsided couple also became a topic of discussion, causing public controversy when the groom was still not old enough to marry.

Despite this, Kevin and his mother still deny the allegations and gossip surrounding them. In addition, Mariana has also voiced that the relationship between her and the boy is true love, not bound by material or anything.

A friend of Mariana's revealed that Kevin had left Mariana's house and moved in with his mother.

Through research, in their married life, Mariana and Kevin often disagree and argue due to the age gap. The couple also cannot sleep together like other couples because the groom is underage. More notably, Kevin has filed for divorce from his wife 4 times in court. The two repeatedly tried to reconcile to no avail.

So when they broke up, Kevin didn't take any of Mariana's possessions out of the house except for the phone given to him by his ex-wife.
