Lyly: From the girl holding the clam singing guitar to the new "queen of hit makers" of Vpop

As one of the most promising young female singer-songwriters of Vpop today, Lyly is gradually asserting her position with undeniable musical talent and hit songs.

Born in 1996 in Hanoi, Lyly expresses a strong passion for music. She soon learned to play guitar and compose her own songs. After graduating from high school 3, Lyly decided to pursue a professional music career and enrolled in the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

However, Lyly's path to pursuing her dreams was not easy. Facing opposition from her family and many difficulties in studying, Lyly once intended to put aside her passion. However, with a strong love of music, Lyly decided to venture into Saigon to pursue her dream.

In Saigon, Lyly started her music career with cover videos posted on Youtube. Lyly's sweet, inspiring voice and rustic, intimate performance style quickly attracted the attention of the online community.

In 2019, Lyly participated in the program Sing My Song and made a strong impression with her self-composed song "Find You". Lyly's emotional performance received high praise from the judges and the audience, helping her advance further in the competition.

However, it was not until the release of the song "24h" in 2019 that Lyly really exploded and affirmed his name in the Vietnamese music industry. The song quickly climbed to the top of the music charts, becoming a cult hit loved by a large audience.

The success of "24h" opened new doors for Lyly's music career. After that, she continuously composed other hit songs such as "Don't love don't hurt", "Because it's when you love", "People don't love you", "Missing you" ...

Besides her ability to sing well, Lyly is also a talented songwriter. She has had many hit compositions for young artists such as Suni Ha Linh (It's okay that I'm here), AMEE (Where are you home), Hoang Yen Chibi (Silent Love),... Her music often has gentle, romantic melodies, deep lyrics, easy to enter people's hearts. Possessing a distinct musical style, not confined to any framework. Her music is a harmonious combination of Pop, Ballad and R&B, creating hits that are both catchy and emotionally deep.

With relentless efforts and undeniable musical talent, Lyly has gradually asserted her position in V-pop. She is not only a "hotgirl cover" like the first day, but has become a truly talented singer and songwriter, having a great influence on young people.

In 2023, Lyly will participate in the Chinese TV show The Next Stage and finish in the top 13 of the competition. This was a valuable experience that helped Lyly hone her musical skills and have the opportunity to learn from talented international artists.

But when she joined The Next Stage, there were some suggestions that LyLy limited herself to the image of "cakes, sweets" and songs with a gentle tempo, not too special, making her boring and "one color". This is also the reason that LyLy seems to be inferior to the other contestants on The Next Stage 2023.

The rest commented that LyLy made great efforts during the competition and did not have the opportunity to debut in your country like Chi Pu, although she brought beautiful performances, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnamese artists in the international arena. Although this achievement is not a high ranking, it will be a big stepping stone for LyLy in the next international competitions.

An opportunity for Ly to experience, rub and learn to grow so much. There are still regrets because I have not shown 100% of my abilities and desires that I can bring. But this is an extremely tough playing field, and once engaged, of course you have to accept all the results. It was also a big lesson in Ly's journey later on."

At the same time, she also had the opportunity to build more relationships with Chinese friends after the contest, most notably her close friend An Ky.
