Recently, public opinion was stirred up by the case of a husband who brutally assaulted his wife and then dumped her body in a river in Lao Cai. Notably, more than a week has passed and the body of this person has not been found.
On August 14, information from the People's Committee of Nam Mon Commune, Bac Ha District, Lao Cai Province said that a serious case had just occurred in the area, in which a husband attacked his wife. Previously, according to initial information, from around August 2 to August 9, A., who is studying at a university in Hanoi, repeatedly called her mother, Giang TT (born in 1983, residing in Co De Chai Village, Nam Mon Commune) but could not reach her.

On August 10, when A. (T.'s eldest daughter) came home and asked her father, Vu Van Tam (born in 1967), where her mother was, he said that T. had left home and left a handwritten letter. When reading the letter that her father gave her, A. suspected that it was not her mother's handwriting, so she asked him more questions, but Tam just answered perfunctorily.
Knowing that something was wrong, A. went to Nam Mon Commune Police to report. Upon receiving the report, Bac Ha District Police summoned Vu Van Tam to work. At the police station, knowing that he could not hide it, Tam confessed to his actions.
Specifically, on the evening of August 2, the couple had an argument, and Tam used a hard object to "impact" Ms. T., causing her to be seriously injured. Early in the morning of August 3, seeing that Ms. T. had no more signs of life, he carried his wife's body to Bao Nhai bridge, dumped it in the Chay river, then went home and acted as if nothing had happened.
It is known that Vu Van Tam and Ms. T. have been married for a long time and currently have 3 children together. To investigate and clarify the case, on the morning of August 14, the professional departments of Lao Cai Provincial Police and Bac Ha District Police coordinated to reconstruct the scene at the victim's house. Currently, the authorities are searching for Ms. T.'s body on the Chay River.

Also in Lao Cai, a man in Bat Xat district had a conflict with his wife, so he "physically impacted" her, seriously injuring her, and then fled. Accordingly, the leader of the People's Committee of Bat Xat town confirmed that a case had just occurred in the area, causing one person to be seriously injured and hospitalized.
Initial information, at around 6am on August 14, Mr. Hoang Van M. (born in 1974) had a conflict with his wife, Ms. Tran Thi L. (born in 1974), both residing in Bat Xat town, Bat Xat district.
Authorities are investigating the scene.
During the argument, Mr. M. used a hard object to bang on Ms. L.'s door, but was stopped by relatives. However, the conflict continued to occur afterwards.
When Mrs. L. knocked on the door of her son's room to call for help, Mr. Hoang Van Q. (born in 1993, residing in Bat Xat town), she discovered that Mrs. L. had a serious wound on her head, bleeding from the neck and left arm, but Mr. M. was nowhere to be seen. It is known that M. used a sharp object to "physically impact" his wife, which is why Mrs. L. was injured.
Ms. Tran Thi L. was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment in a seriously injured state.
Immediately after receiving the report from the people, the authorities of Bat Xat district were present at the scene to investigate and took Ms. Tran Thi L. to the hospital for emergency treatment. Currently, the authorities are still searching for M.
In July, also due to a conflict, a husband used a sharp object to "physically impact" his wife, seriously injuring her and then logging out. The investigation agency said that at around 6:40 a.m. (July 16), at Group 20, Lao Cai Ward (Lao Cai City), Mr. MQT (born in 1980, in Lao Cai City), had a conflict with his wife, Ms. VTQT (born in 1994, in Lao Cai City).
Then Mr. T. took a sharp object and chased his wife to a house on Dinh Bo Linh Street, Group 20, Lao Cai Ward. There, Ms. T. was "hit" by her husband on her arms, legs and head, and collapsed on the spot.
After committing the crime, Mr. MQT used a sharp object to "impact" himself, intending to log out but was promptly stopped by everyone. Then Mr. T. walked home and continued the above behavior. Afterwards, people took both Mr. T. and his wife to Lao Cai General Hospital for emergency treatment.
