Hanoi: Successfully detected and removed a large unexploded bomb

On the afternoon of November 28, during the construction of the foundation of the headquarters of Power Transmission Company 1 at 15 Cua Bac, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, workers discovered a bomb weighing 340kg, 35cm in diameter, and about 30cm long. 1m, lying underground, not yet detonated.

All construction activities are suspended. Some people living close to where the bomb was discovered have also temporarily left, avoiding the dangerous area. A resident said that in the past, the 4-storey building located on this land did not make a basement, the construction unit did not dig deep into the ground, so the bomb was not detected. It was not until the building was demolished and rebuilt and the basement was added, that the bomb was discovered.
