Recently, a clip recording a cute moment like finding the light of an American baby when wearing farsighted corrective glasses for the first time made the global public "melt".
Accordingly, baby Liam Frederick (1 year old, living in New York, USA) suddenly became famous after the moment of changing his new pair of glasses was shared on social networks. The clip of the boy has attracted the attention of netizens all over the world with more than 100 million views on TikTok and Instagram platforms - a not small number.
Liam's mother, Stephanie Mazzone-Meyer, posted a video of the boy trying on his new glasses and the constant change of shades from what he saw. At first, the little angel was surprised when the glasses were put on his eyes.
However, after just a few seconds of adjustment, Liam's face quickly changed from surprise to enjoyment. The boy's eyes were wide open, his curious expression and a bright smile suddenly appeared on his lips as if he was exploring a whole new world.
Under the comment section, many netizens left many compliments for the boy's flexible expression: "This is the best video I've ever seen"; "I'm having a bad week, and when I saw the video of your son, it changed my mood"; "When I watched the video, I was so moved that I cried at work"... Not only causing a fever on social networks, Liam's video has also been published by many newspapers in some countries such as Italy, Chile, Spain, the Netherlands... repost.
Mazzone-Meyer told Fox News Digital that she and her husband were on their way from their home in New York City to Wisconsin when the video began to go viral: "The video went viral on my Instagram page, so we decided to post the video on TikTok again.
I fell asleep during the 16-hour car trip and woke up to millions of views; Just a few hours later, the video reached 75 million views." And she was very touched when people paid attention and gave special affection to her little son.
"My videos also help other parents pay attention to their child's eye health and prioritize taking their child to the doctor if they notice something unusual about their vision or see their child's eyes squinting," Mazzone-Meyer said. She continued: "I hope Liam can bring joy to others.
My son had a memorable memory when he was noticed by millions of people just through a lovely video. Liam is still smiling brightly when they see him. I didn't expect that my little son could spread so many good values after reading the comments on social networks."
According to Mazzone-Meyer, when he was in the womb, Liam had abnormal ultrasound results, then gave birth prematurely, so the pediatrician and care team recommended a series of tests after 3 weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), including an eye exam.
During the first examination, Liam's eyes appeared slightly farsighted but not worrisome. The doctor asked for a follow-up visit a few months later and during this visit, they announced that the boy needed to put on his glasses immediately. That is also the context for the birth of the clip that is causing the fever above.
Mazzone-Meyer confided that Liam has always been a smiling child. But since the boy wore the new glasses, she noticed that her son laughed more, held more and played more. "He looks completely different when he wears new glasses.
At first, I was sad to learn that my son had an unknown cause but now that we have discovered the disease, Liam can see us and the world clearly. Liam's videos bring joy, happiness, and positivity to people's daily lives. Just watching Liam's video can melt hearts."
