"I booked a table for noon on January 25. The group has 7 people including my husband and I, 2 of my husband's friends and 3 cafe staff. This time I want to invite everyone to a New Year's Eve meal," Ms. T . speak.

Even though she couldn't eat seafood, Ms. T. still sat at the table to eat with everyone. Those who finished eating went out first, leaving only Ms. T. and Ms. A. and one other person staying to eat hot pot. Before the meal ended, a restaurant employee invited customers out to talk.

Ms. T. said that when the staff came to the table to invite everyone out, she herself did not understand what happened. After that, they saw the images recorded by the camera and realized that Ms. A. had put seafood in the bag.

Since she was the one who invited the whole group to eat, Ms. T. took responsibility and said she would pay the fine on behalf of Ms. A. because this person herself was in a very difficult situation and was her employee.

Ms. T. admitted that she was also negligent in not reminding the staff in advance that the rule when going to a buffet is to only eat on the spot and not take anything home.

Ms. T. believes that her employees think simply, thinking that eating a buffet is like going to a party. In the countryside, when going out to eat, people often just eat vegetable soup and then pack the food into bags to share and take home.

This woman seemed very upset with the restaurant's handling of the matter by issuing different fines. She said, initially the restaurant fined the customer 1 million VND, then increased it to 2 million VND and then 3.5 million VND. After that, the two sides could not come to an agreement, so the ward police were invited to assist.

Besides, Ms. T. was "distressed" because the restaurant published her image on her personal page, causing many acquaintances to recognize her and constantly call to ask.

As for the restaurant, the representative also explained: "If the customer agrees to pay the fine from the beginning, the amount will only be 1 million VND. Because when it was first discovered, the amount of seafood taken (10kg) was still there. can be used by staff to reduce waste. However, because the customer did not agree, we were forced to invite the police to assist. All goods were sealed for settlement.
