Wang Xiaonu, a woman born in 1994 in a poor rural area of Henan Province, China, has lived a life full of hardships but also extraordinary. From the day Xiaonu was born, her family was in despair.

Doctors diagnosed her with "bird face" syndrome (possibly a form of Treacher Collins Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects the development of facial bones and tissues). The syndrome is often accompanied by hearing, language, and even intellectual disabilities.

Tieu Niu's childhood was a long series of lonely and hurtful days. She was often ridiculed and shunned by her peers. Children called her "monster" and "ugly person", and played all kinds of malicious pranks on her, causing her young heart to suffer deep emotional scars.

At school, Tieu Niu was isolated by her friends, and sadly, even her teachers seemed to not care about her special circumstances. The pressure and pain forced her to drop out of school, leave her hometown to work for hire, hoping to find a little freedom and peace in a strange city.

Harsh life and simple dreams

However, life in the city is not a bed of roses for an uneducated girl with a strange appearance like Tieu Niu. She has difficulty finding a stable job, often only able to do heavy manual labor, selling goods on the street or working at a restaurant, to earn enough money to get by.

However, Wang Xiaonuu never gave up on her fate. Deep in her heart, she still cherished a simple but strong dream: to have a home, a loving husband and a healthy child. That dream became the driving force that helped her overcome all difficulties, no matter how harsh life was.

Unexpected happiness and worries of motherhood
