As 2024 draws to a close, BLACKPINK once again proves their influence in the Korean music industry by topping the "Brand Reputation Ranking" for girl groups in December.

The group dominated the chart with 13.4 million points, 9 million points more than the second place. In descending order, the Top 30 on the "Brand Reputation Ranking" for girl groups in December were as follows: BLACKPINK, aespa, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, TWICE, Red Velvet, (G)I-DLE, ILLIT, OH MY GIRL, FIFTY FIFTY, NMIXX, BABYMONSTER, ITZY, STAYC, Girls' Generation, MAMAMOO, izna, tripleS, H1-KEY, MEOVV, Kep1er, Apink, KISS OF LIFE, cignature, WJSN, VIVIZ, Dreamcatcher, Girl's Day, SAY MY NAME, and KATSEYE.

Despite no group activities in 2024, BLACKPINK dominated the quarter of the year, topping the charts in January, November, and December. BLACKPINK has managed to maintain its relevance and popularity through the members' consecutive solo activities with great success. In particular, Rosé's recent solo album release has shocked the music industry. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is aiming for a musical comeback and tour in 2025.

Previously, BLACKPINK fanpage posted a poster announcing that the MV How You Like That, after more than 4 years of release, has officially reached 1.3 billion views on YouTube. Although this is not the highest number of views that BLACKPINK has achieved on YouTube, it shows that the group's music products are still showing signs of growth every day.

The proof is that besides How You Like That, a few days ago BLACKPINK also announced that the MV AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST released in 2017 has just reached an impressive 1.4 billion views on YouTube.

Or before that, last August, the group's MV Kill This Love also officially reached 2 billion views on YouTube after more than 5 years of release. These "dinosaur" numbers are a good sign for BLACKPINK's upcoming comeback, proving that the group's music products still have a strong appeal in the hearts of fans even though they have been released for many years.

Regarding activities in 2025, member Rosé revealed about the group: "Next year, we are planning to release an album and go on tour." Rosé's announcement answered fans' expectations for a new album as a fully united group.

Following the sharing from the owner of the hit APT., YG Entertainment also announced the 2025 plan for the company's artists in a video featuring founder Yang Hyun Suk, posted on YouTube on December 2.

Mr. Yang said BlackPink will launch a world tour in the new year, but did not provide schedule details.

On YG's website YG Life (a website that specializes in reporting news about artists' activities), YG said: "Last year, BLACKPINK signed a full group activity contract with YG ENTERTAINMENT and overcame the 'seven-year curse. Although the members are active individually under ODDATELIER (Jennie), BLISSOO (Jisoo), LLOUD (Lisa), and THEBLACKLABEL (Rosé), their activities as a complete group will continue under YG."

YG added in the post: "If this year is the year of the members' solo activities, next year, they will create a global earthquake as BLACKPINK. The combination they show as a complete group is highly anticipated. Especially after finishing the most recent world tour with a huge audience of up to 1.5 million people."

In addition, YG also emphasized: "Although the crisis mentioned was due to the dependence on BLACKPINK and the unsuccessful renegotiation of the members' solo contracts, the impressive activity plan in 2025 has dispelled these concerns."
