This morning (June 27), along with more than 1 million students across the country entering the high school graduation exam, the image of 2 U50 teachers also setting out to pass the martial arts school has attracted a lot of attention from everyone.
On the morning of June 27, at the exam site of Phu Hoa Town Secondary School (Chu Pah district, Gia Lai), free candidate Ro Cham Ui (47 years old, culture teacher at Bui Thi Xuan Primary School, Ia O commune, Ia district Grai, Gia Lai) confidently entered the first exam.
Family and friends did not forget to give good wishes and encouragement to Mr. Ro Cham Ui in the hope that he enters the exam with a comfortable and calm mind.
Mr. Ui shared that even though he has a busy job and his house is 60km from the Vocational Education Center - Continuing Education of Chu Pah district, he still tries to study. With difficult exercises, he asked for support from teachers. Therefore, going into the exam he was quite confident and hoped to complete the subjects Literature, Mathematics, History and Geography well.
"At first, taking the exam with candidates younger than me was quite shy. But I took a deep breath, tried to calm down, and confidently completed the exam well to receive a high school diploma. Not only not only supplement work records but also set an example for children and grandchildren to follow in terms of learning spirit," Mr. Ro Cham Ui said.
Similarly, Mr. Ro Cham Un (48 years old, Jrai) is one of the oldest candidates participating in the 2024 High School Graduation Exam in Gia Lai.
Mr. Un confided that for nearly 30 years he has been a culture teacher at Cu Chinh Lan Primary School (Ia Chia commune, Ia Grai district). However, because he did not have a high school diploma, in recent years he has always wanted to go to school to take the exam.
4 years ago, with the encouragement and support of his family, he was determined to enroll at the Vocational Education Center - Continuing Education of Chu Pah district. On weekends, he travels more than 80km from home to school to review knowledge.
After 3 years of trying to study and absorb knowledge, in 2023 he registered to take the graduation exam. However, luck was not smiling so he did not complete the exam well.
Wishing to hold a diploma in his hand, in 2024 he continued to review. If the knowledge is difficult or he doesn't understand, he asks his daughter, who is studying Preschool Pedagogy in Kon Tum province, for help. His daughter dedicatedly nurtured her father's knowledge in the hope that he could realize his dream of getting a high school degree.
"This year, I tried to find more knowledge online and solve some types of problems so I could confidently enter the exam. I registered for the Math, Literature and History exams so I'm quite confident. I hope I can pass. Successfully pass the exam and soon receive a high school diploma.
Regardless of the results, I am quite comfortable because I have tried and worked hard every day and am not discouraged by difficulties after many years away from knowledge," Mr. Un shared.
