Recently, the CO2 gas suffocation incident in an apartment of a group of Vietnamese people in Taiwan (China) caused great sorrow on social networks. Among the 4 people who died in the gas poisonin.g incident, 3 were workers and 1 was an international student from Quang Binh.
On the afternoon of May 12, according to Mr. Nguyen Quan Dung (a member of the 0-dong volunteer group that supported vehicles to bring the victims back home), the ashes of the 4 victims who died in the CO suffocation incident at an apartment in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, were brought to Noi Bai Airport.
Of the 4 victims, 3 lived in Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, including: NTH (born in 2003), PTTM (born in 2005) and NVL (born in 2002). The remaining person was TVD. (born in 1998), living in Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province.
Immediately afterwards, the volunteer group supported the "0 dong" bus with the relatives of the unfortunate victims to continue their journey back home.
Following the photo shared by Mr. Dung, many people were moved to tears when witnessing the moment relatives carried white flowers, standing outside the airport lobby to wait for the ashes of their loved ones.
At the airport, relatives of the victims burst into tears when receiving the ashes of the deceased after a long journey from Taiwan back to their home country. There were no more hugs of reunion, no more bright laughter of the day of return, only coldness and silence in the form of a ceramic vase placed neatly in a backpack.
The image of a woman sobbing, hugging tightly the backpack containing the urn of ashes as if trying to hold on to her last bit of warmth made those who witnessed it unable to hold back their tears.
Next to them are white flowers brought by relatives, as a belated farewell to those who have lost their lives and no longer have the chance to return to their families.
