Recently, on social network TikTok, many clips were shared recording scenes at Long Chat restaurant located on Hong Lac street, Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City.
Hangin.g at the gate of the shop is a large banner with 4 lines of content as follows: "During this time, the shop has received a lot of false information, has been harassed a lot and has few customers. Long Chat Lac Hong is waiting for the official conclusion of the authorities. Therefore, the shop would like to announce that it is temporarily suspending operations until there are official results from the authorities."
Many people in this area, passersby also commented under the clips, confirming that since this morning, May 14, when passing by Long Chat shop, they recorded the above notice. The information surprised many people because this establishment had just reopened 2 days ago (May 12), after the controversy on social networks about the pipe's intestines.
Along with the banner, many clips of the scene inside the restaurant were also shared online. Accordingly, many photos of Ngo Quyen The (The Long Se Dieu) - the restaurant owner, taking pictures with customers, including Hai Sapa, were taken down and left outside the store.
According to the records, many tables, chairs, pots, pans, cutting boards, plastic boxes... were collected by the staff and loaded onto trucks and three-wheeled vehicles. Perhaps in the process of cleaning up, the inside of the restaurant was quite messy, with many people busy cleaning up each item. Some passersby also looked back, wondering and curious.
A day before, on the homepage, Long Chat also shared a rather long "letter of the heart", talking about the passion for the profession since the beginning until now. Along with that was the situation of the shop being bothered after the scandals related to the pipe heart. The shop also admitted its fault for not controlling the media content carefully, leading to unnecessary misunderstandings.
In addition, the restaurant also said that it would "temporarily suspend operations" until there is an official conclusion from the authorities. Notably, the post also said that it "will return with a stronger, more sincere and transparent mindset than ever".
"We would like to share that the damage that the restaurant is suffering is not only the loss of revenue, but also the deep mental damage - from customer trust, professional pride to the safety of the staff who are working hard every day for the restaurant," the announcement said.
At the same time, the facility in Ho Chi Minh City also said that it has been bombarded with goods and receiving insulting phone calls all this time.
Previously, on May 7, Long Chat facility in Ho Chi Minh City announced that it would stop serving because it had to work with the food safety inspection team.
The current situation of the two Long Chat establishments in Hanoi located at Ton That Tung (Dong Da District) and Tran Thai Tong (Cau Giay District) is also attracting attention. After being inspected and having to temporarily close due to the noise surrounding the long xe dieu incident, the Hanoi establishments announced that they would reopen from May 12. However, currently, when searching for the Long Chat homepage in Hanoi, it shows a "closed" notice and is flooded with "angry" icons from customers.
In a Facebook announcement on the morning of May 12, the restaurant affirmed that it " only sells dishes made from fresh ingredients of the day, without using frozen goods or goods imported from China ." However, the restaurant said that after reopening, it will only serve directly at branches, temporarily suspending take-out sales to "ensure the quality of the dishes."
It is known that after reopening for 2 days, starting from May 12 until now, Quan still receives many mixed responses from customers, critical comments, "anger" on posts on social networking platforms. The restaurant is less crowded.
