2 female sweepers were shot multiple times by a group of youths, where did H.ung K.Hí come from?

Two female cleaners sweeping in Quang Ngai were suddenly beaten by two young men, notably, the group of youths even attacked the victim with h.ung k.hí causing high damage.

On October 5, the leader of Quang Ngai Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, said authorities were working to clarify the group of people who shot and injured two sweepers in the leg at dawn.

The incident happened around 1am on October 5, at the end of Pham Van Dong Street (Nghia Chanh Ward, Quang Ngai City).

At this time, two sweepers V. T. L. (42 years old) and L. T. M. K. (35 years old) who are workers of Quang Ngai Urban Environment Joint Stock Company were sweeping garbage when 2 young men on motorbikes approached.

According to the report of 2 workers, while sweeping garbage, she saw the group of youths running over, almost hitting the garbage truck, so Ms. K. reminded the group "not to go too close to the garbage truck, it is easy to cause an accident". Later, the group of youths returned to quarrel and beat Mrs. K.

Seeing that Mrs. K. had been beaten, Mrs. L. ran to dissuade her from being beaten. Shortly thereafter, a man wearing glasses shot the sisters multiple times.

When some residents living near the area heard gunshots arriving at the scene, the group left.

"After shooting, these two young men continued to beat the two sweepers for a while before leaving," said Nguyen Cao Cuong, captain of the No. 3 production team.

After the incident, the company's leadership made a report to the authorities. The police of Nghia Chanh ward worked with two workers and inspected the scene at the time of the incident.

The two victims were rushed to Fuxing General Hospital for emergency treatment. Scans showed that Ms. K. was shot by 3 bullets, and Ms. L. was hit by one. In addition, police found two bullets at the scene.

By this morning, the two janitors were in good health but in good spirits. Medical procedures identified bullet wounds to the two janitors' legs and operated to remove the warheads from their legs.

It was not immediately possible to determine what kind of gun the two youths used to shoot the two female janitors was.

Bui Van Quang, director of Quang Ngai Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, said he sent officials to the hospital to help the two female janitors and coordinated with the police to soon investigate the two young men.

"I am very worried because the workers in the company operate at night in the hundreds, mainly collecting and sweeping garbage from the roads. The incident made the workers' psyche very confused. I hope the authorities will soon investigate and handle the case so that the janitors can safely do their jobs," Mr. Quang said.

It is known that according to which the Secretary of the Provincial Committee directed that two young men who shot the janitor should be arrested.

Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van - Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee - said that she had received information about the incident of two female janitors shooting in the middle of the night and had called to instruct the chairman of the provincial People's Committee and the provincial police director to urgently investigate and arrest the two young men.

Accordingly, not only the police of Quang Ngai city stepped in, but all provincial police had to put all their efforts into investigating. It is possible that the two youths who committed the crime fled to the districts, so the police of communes, wards and districts across the province must coordinate the pursuit. "All police forces from the province to the commune must step in immediately. We must restore order as quickly as possible," Van emphasized.

Ms. Van also assigned the Provincial Party Committee, People's Councils and mass agencies to visit, encourage and reassure the spirit of the two female janitors and their families; fully grasp the situation to report to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for further instructions.

Pursuant to Article 304 of the 2015 Penal Code (amended by Clause 106 Article 1 of the Law on Amending the 2017 Penal Code) stipulates the crime of illegally manufacturing, storing, transporting, using, buying and selling or appropriating military weapons and military technical means as follows:

Penalty Frame 1: Anyone who illegally possesses military weapons can be punished from 01 year to 07 years.

Penalty Frame 2: The offense is punishable by the county from 05 years to 12 years.

Penalty Box 3: The offense is punishable by 10 to 15 years.

Penalty bracket 4: The offense carries a sentence of 15 to 20 years or life imprisonment.

Additional penalties: Offenders may also be fined from VND 10,000,000 to VND 50,000,000, placed on probation or banned from residing from 01 year to 05 years.
