Duc returned to his adoptive mother's house in Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province, 12km from Bac Ninh station and lived here for 10 years.

Later, Duc's adoptive mother helped him find his roots. When he went to a family in Phuc Thanh commune, Kim Thanh district (Hai Duong), Mr. Duc knew it was not his family. But because of nostalgia and longing, he continued to stay in Hai Duong for 10 years. During those 10 years, Duc did not know that his biological parents were living right in Kim Tan commune, Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong province, only 8km from where he lived.

Duc then went to Binh Duong to work and met his life partner, Ms. Luyen. Both of them built a family and then returned to Luyen's hometown in Thai Binh to live.

Sending his thoughts in a letter, Mr. Duc thanks to the program "As if there has never been a separation" to look for relatives. The family that the program found matched the information given by Mr. Duc, especially when he had a twin brother named Tran Van Thanh.

But because he made a mistake once, Mr. Duc still wanted to take a DNA test to be sure. As a result, Mr. Duc is Tran Van Canh, who was lost at Bac Ninh station in 1977. In 2020, Mr. Canh reunited with his family.

In 1977, they left their homeland to go to a new land to earn a living. Mr. Trang and Mrs. Lien have 5 children, besides Mr. Canh, there are Mr. Truong, Thanh, Giang, and Ti.

"I gave birth to 5 children, my grandfather often suffered from abdominal pain, but he did not cure it. That day when he went to Bac Ninh station, he was in so much pain, the whole family had to get off the station to let him lie there. I and the children met an uncle, he asked: "Where are you and your mother going?" I also said: "To tell you the truth, my grandfather is very sick, lying in there. My mother and I went to beg for some food to feed him, but he had a stomachache."

Hearing that, he said: "I don't have any grandchildren, my sister has too many children, let me raise one to help ease the suffering". At that time he gave me a dozen or so. I went to the pharmacy to get medicine for my grandfather. He told me: "Don't worry, I will take care of you, go back to buy medicine and take care of your husband".

I cried a lot. Canh kept looking back at me crying, calling: "Mother, mother". Then he coaxed and carried it away. I feel sorry for my child, but I don't know what to do, so I have to endure it."

Mr. Trang was so sick, but he still managed to go with his wife and children to the forest to work as hired laborers, then return to his hometown to work in the fields. In addition to 70 years old, he is still strong enough to beat a snail, a shrimp in the river every day. He was like this thanks to his diligent wife, thanks to his children growing up filial and dedicated to doing business. But most of all, they all said it was thanks to the timely pill that saved him at the old Bac Ninh station.

Mr. Trang also lived a healthy life with his wife and children, with a part of his son's sacrifice named Canh. It is the same thing that always makes grandparents sad, every meal today, grandparents think about their children.

I still remember the day when the whole family separated, Mr. Trang's family had 6 people left to take each other on board, go to Lang Son and then Lao Cai to work as hired workers. When they went to Lao Cai, their two children, Mr. Giang and Mr. Thanh, were also adopted but still kept in touch. Two years later, Mr. Trang and Mrs. Lien returned to Bac Ninh station and walked from commune to commune to look for their children but could not find them. It is said that the family that adopted Mr. Canh left the South.

The grandparents returned to their hometown with Truong, the 3 children stayed in Sapa to work as a restaurant and a carpentry workshop.
