Recalling the first time she met her husband at an Ao Dai collection launch, designer Phan Thi Tuong Nghia (SN 1993) confided that she was impressed with Hong Loi because of his handsome face and special appearance. . Hong Loi was born in 1987 at Tu Du Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City. Right from the time he was born, Loi was born with a defective body, without two legs, with atrophy of his right arm, only his left hand was healthy.

Not surrendering to fate, he rose to become a person full of talent and energy. Loi is an athlete and swimming coach who has won many medals in national and international disabled sports competitions. People call him "legless fisherman".

Loi himself has to face a lot of pitying glances every time he goes out on the street. But in response to that, he always gives them a smile, letting them see that he is an optimistic, cheerful, quick, loving person, not pitiful.

Previously, Loi herself never thought about getting married. Because with his body, he was afraid of hurting his partner. "I love people but seeing people suffering, I can't be happy. So I think just live like that, do everything to make yourself feel happy," the talented guy confided.

However, that mindset has completely changed since Loi met Nghia. Predestined to come, a beautiful girl appeared, loved, cared for, wanted to marry her. That made him very happy, unbelievably happy.

"The first time we met Loi, and then we started dating, everything came naturally to us like breathing. The two of us didn't need to say much, just looking at each other was a surge of emotions. When we were with this man. , I want to make up for him, because more than 33 years ago, he had to suffer a lot. I want to give him a complete family and the best.

There are many people who hurt both of them, doubting their love for Loi. But I think what I have to endure is too small compared to what he has to go through. I can walk this path with you, no matter how difficult it is. Even if the whole world turns its back on him, I will still be by his side and never give up," Nghia shared emotionally.

Nghia feels lucky to be understood and supported by her family. When they found out that their daughter was dating Loi, Nghia's parents asked: "Have you thought about it carefully?". The meaning strongly replied: "I have thought about it carefully and decided".

With Loi, he used to be very strong, but since he got married, he often cried. Because from the day he was with Nghia, he didn't have to bear the burden, but could live right with his person, cry and laugh comfortably. In the eyes of the "legless fisherman", his wife is an extremely brave, personable, strong person and he likes it very much.

Currently, Loi and his wife run an ao dai and handicraft shop in combination with an online business. Every passing day is a happy day, both try to work to develop more, bring each other joy from the simplest things.

"The two of us go to work in the morning, come back to help our family sell tea. There is a saying that I like very much, which is: "Happiness is not far away but is only around us". In March 2021, Nghia became pregnant, causing Loi to burst with happiness. Because Loi was born with a birth defect, during pregnancy, the couple inevitably worried, actively doing all tests to detect risks of the baby. Each ultrasound visit is an important milestone that makes the couple extremely nervous. Once heard his wife with: "I am full of hands and feet. Don't worry", Loi burst into tears.
