Recently, the Vietnamese online community has been touched by the love story of a 21-year-old man named Fat Cat in China. In particular, Nam Em has also recently voiced sympathy for the ill-fated boy.
She wrote: "Through the story of Fat Cat, people can see more empathy for children who do not have the love of their parents from a young age but still have to work hard to go up, how much they want to be loved.
The Fat Cat is no longer alive, but I must continue to live. Keep giving yourself a motivation to try harder, be more positive. Hopefully someone is spinning their story in a negative way so that you guys don't like gutless bamboo. If you can't say a kind word, please don't swap the concept of someone else's story to build your channel.
I am also human and my desire is love and respect.
Thank you."
Before that, she also sent 1 message to Fat Cat: There is still 1 man in this world who sacrifices everything for his beloved.
I admire you, but if there's a next life, be sure to keep a little bit for yourself. It's not selfishness but self-love."
It is known that Fat Cat is a 21-year-old gamer. This Chinese man met his girlfriend online. During their relationship, this guy actively 'plowed the game' to make money, eat frugally to save money to spoil his girlfriend.
In order to be close to his girlfriend, he even moved his workplace to Chongqing (China, the girl's residence). In just about 2 years of love, this guy has provided the girl with an amount of up to 510,000 yuan (nearly 1.8 billion VND).
Despite his efforts to conquer his lover, the boy's loneliness is not met.
Before coming to the extreme decision, in a conversation that went viral, this gamer shared: "I don't want to eat vegetables anymore, I want to eat McDonald's."
Amid the tragic story of the Fat Cat going viral on social media. "Taking advantage" of this, McDonald's Vietnam immediately launched an advertising program on the online food ordering application with the content: "If you don't like to eat vegetables, eat chicken with BBQ cheese".
Continuously, on the fan page of McDonald's Vietnam, this fast food company also posted an advertising article running a promo code with the content: "Try to see if McDonald's is enough to satisfy the protesting belly of "mà fens" with this combo".
Immediately, McDonald's was fiercely criticized by the social media community, because of its objectionable "swinging" advertising content. Many people even decided to "boycott" this fast food brand.
In the midst of a wave of fierce "throwing stones", McDonald's Vietnam has now changed the name of the food, promotions on online food sales applications, but netizens are still flooding its fanpage in Vietnam to express their outrage.
In response to the harsh reaction of the public, soon after, on the evening of May 6, on the fanpage McDonald's Vietnam (with a blue tick, 82 million followers) posted an apology for advertising following the tragic story of gamer Fat Cat.
Through this story, some people think that public opinion is overreacting and many people are following the crowd, but the reality shows that consumers always have the right to love, support or boycott any brand or product ... when the brand violates the principles of cultural, moral and legal values.
In this, McDonald's Vietnam is fortunate to have corrected the mistake in time to salvage the trust of customers. Wrong-correction is also a normal thing that is not worth mentioning, but from this story, the problem that arises and needs to be pondered is the urgency of forming a business culture in each business itself.
In fact, over the past time, there have been many sad stories happening in the market showing that if the business ethics of enterprises is not taken seriously, no one other than the business itself will suffer.
There have been many for-profit businesses that have defied, betting on the dwindling trust from customers; Many businesses that used to build a popular brand in the market suddenly collapsed because of just a little immediate profit...
These painful lessons once again show that corporate culture and business ethics are no longer just slogans of every business, but on the contrary, business culture and ethics must always be considered by businesses and entrepreneurs as a vital philosophy for their survival and development.
