Due to settling in the US, singer Nguyen Tam authorized a lawyer to file a lawsuit, requesting that Kien Vang and Vu Luan Entertainment companies jointly take responsibility for compensation for damage to honor and reputation in the amount of 20 billion VND, to be paid in one lump sum immediately after the verdict takes legal effect.

After reviewing the petition, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court announced that it would accept the civil case and send a summons to the litigant on November 23, 2022. Singer Nguyen Tam also completed the payment of the advance court fee of 66.5 million VND.

After accepting the case, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City requested judicial examination of 8 episodes and trailer of the film "Where to give love" by author Nguyen Tam, which was registered for copyright at the Copyright Office in 2020 and 8 episodes and trailer of the film "Hanh phuc xa bay" posted by Vu Luan Entertainment Company Limited on YouTube and artist Vu Luan's personal Facebook.

According to Decision No. 22/2023/QD-TCGĐ dated June 28 of the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted a collective appraisal of the trailer, 8 episodes of the film Where is the love by author Nguyen Tam and the trailer, 8 episodes of the film Happiness is far away released by Vu Luan Entertainment.

The appraisal conclusion clearly states: The trailers and 8 episodes of these 2 films are the same, with the same actors, content, images, and sound.

For example, in episode 1 of "Where to Love", from 0 minutes 20 seconds to 19 minutes 32 seconds, is the same as episode 1 of "Far Away Happiness" from 0 minutes 3 seconds to 23 minutes 46 seconds. In the following episodes, the duration is the same from nearly 17 minutes to more than 24 minutes, calculated according to the duration of the movie version of "Where to Love".

Currently, the company of Meritorious Artist Vu Luan and the company Kien Vang have not yet commented on the incident.
