Recently, the Vietnamese entertainment industry was shocked by the news that artist Le Phuong, who was famous for his roles on the Cai Luong stage, suddenly died at the age of 35 due to a traffic collision while singing at a funeral.
This information was confirmed by director Hong Tham, a lecturer at the University of Theater and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, on the afternoon of November 3, while on the way to sing a funeral in Long An province, the female artist met with a traffic accident and died on the spot. At the time of the accident, a man took her mobile phone. When a show called to ask why he had not come to sing, the person who took the phone said that the owner of the phone was in distress. Then this person locked the phone.
Cai Luong artist Le Phuong used to be a student of the K17 Cai Luong Actor College class of the Faculty of Ethnic Drama, directed by Hong Tham. The director said that she was heartbroken when she heard the bad news about the student, but she refused to share it deeply to avoid hurting the people who stayed.
The passing of artist Le Phuong made relatives and colleagues mourn. On her personal page, artists Tu Quyen, Gia Han, Thu Van, and Thy Trang expressed their condolences to Le Phuong's family.
"When I heard the news of you this morning, I was shocked and sad, I love you so much! For her livelihood, she had to run the show until late at night, and then had to leave because of a traffic collision. I hope that in that void realm, I will be relieved and rested," Tu Quyen wrote.
Artist Gia Han shared: "Oh my God, it's so impermanent, sister! The other day, I even looked up some of her rehearsal clips, but now I have received sad news...".
A classmate of artist Le Phuong shared: "Or the news of Le Phuong's death, we were all shocked. Ms. Hong Tham considers you like a girl. She is very heartbroken about this."
Talking to the media, artist Cong Ninh was sad when he heard the news that a student of the University of Theater and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City died at a very young age.
Director Hoang Chuong - lecturer at the Department of Ethnic Drama of the University of Theater and Cinema of Ho Chi Minh City, Le Phuong's teacher - said he was shocked when he received the news that his student had a traffic accident, died on the way home, after singing for a funeral in Long An, on the morning of November 3.
"My heart ached, tears kept pouring out uncontrollably. Thuong Le Phuong, because of her livelihood, had to work hard, sometimes even temporarily putting aside her studies when there was only one semester left to graduate from the Cai Luong Actor class. Last year, Phuong just finished her graduation exam, but this year she had an accident again," the director said.
Hoang Chuong said that he directly taught Le Phuong for more than two years. The director recalled that the last time he spoke to his students was last year, when Le Phuong expressed his desire to continue studying for the graduation exam with him. "I have been proactive in my ability, creating all conditions for him to continue. Unexpectedly, that was the last time teachers and students met and talked to each other," he said.
Le Phuong was born in 1989, is one of the excellent students of the K17 Cai Luong Actor class, Department of Ethnic Drama of the Ho Chi Minh City School of Theater and Cinema. She used to play the role of Ly Than Phi in the play Cai Luong Bao Cong without a brick kiln, Sister Rooster in the play Turn Off the Lights, Peony Fairy in the play Peony Fairy, performed at the Ho Chi Minh City Cinema Theater School. In addition, Le Phuong also collaborates and performs for the Long An Cai Luong Troupe, occasionally sings to serve the audience at small entertainment spots and funerals.
Currently, artist Le Phuong is taken by his family to his hometown in Giao Thanh commune, Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province to take care of the aftermath. The entrance ceremony of the late artist was held on the morning of November 4. It is expected that on the morning of November 6, Le Phuong's coffin will be buried at his house in Ben Tre.
Before dying at the age of 35 due to a traffic collision, artist Le Phuong also posted pictures of her work on her personal page. A day before the incident, Le Phuong posted an everyday moment, wearing a white ao dai to perform at a funeral.
