After that, the smoke started to rise to the 3rd floor where there were 5 rooms with guests singing, one of these 5 rooms saw the smoke, so it informed the manager. At this point, people started to panic and run away. At this time, there was a big fire on the 2nd floor.

To date, authorities have identified seven more victims, bringing the total to 24. Most of the identified bodies have been handed over to their families for burial. A representative of Binh Duong province's Department of Health said that some of the seriously injured victims were hospitalized and their health was stable.

Through the search results, it was determined that when panicking before smoke and fire, many victims ran to the toilet to lock the door of the room to avoid the accident, so they suffocated to death. Binh Duong Provincial Police explained that when the 2nd floor caught fire, the 3rd floor still had electricity to sing because when designing and building the rooms, each floor had its own circuit breaker (CP).

If a room is short-circuited, the CP of that room or floor will go out first, other places may still have electricity for a short time before the total CP is cut off. The 3rd floor rooms still have electricity because the building's total CP is not disconnected at this time.

On the afternoon of September 10, at the funeral home of the Ministry of Defense (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City), the functional forces of Binh Duong province handed over the bodies of the victims in the An Phu karaoke bar fire (An Phu ward, TP. Thuan An, Binh Duong province) for the family to take care of the aftermath.

At the funeral home, many relatives of the victims were present very early to wait for the handover procedures. On the faces of the relatives of the victims, everyone was shocked, many people burst into tears while doing the procedure. They have to wait many days for the authorities to identify the victim through DNA.

Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh Phuong, Secretary of Thuan An City Party Committee, said that this afternoon the police carried out procedures to hand over the bodies of 9 victims of the karaoke bar fire. Currently, five bodies are being tested for DNA to identify them.

After the unfortunate incident, Thuan An City has supported each family with 30 million dead victims and 5 million injured victims. The owner of An Phu karaoke facility also supported the death victim with 30 million dong to help the family pay for the return of the body to the hometown as well as other burial services.
