In his heart at that time, he prayed that the place he went to would be the emergency room so that his family could have a little more hope. But when he arrived at the hospital, he was led to the funeral home, where his son lay with two teammates.

The lieutenant's sister could not hold back her tears at the sudden death of her brother. "At the end of the hour, after a call from a stranger, my father quietly went to the funeral home and did not say a word to the mother and daughter. Right after that, when the teacher called to ask if he was Viet? I did not dare to answer," the girl said.

At home, waiting for her father to return with a low and anxious mood, she read the information on social networks and learned that 3 soldiers had died, including her brother. "At this point, I can only cry, the hand holding the phone is shaking, the whole body falls down, it feels like there is no strength left," she shared.

In another corner of the funeral home sat a woman quietly. It was the mother of Do Dinh Phuc - the youngest soldier among the three who died. Phuc is 19 years old this year and has just joined the army for a year. His father passed away early, his mother was his only relative.

Before doing his duty on the afternoon of August 1, Phuc had just experienced a fire in the morning. At noon, he texted his mother informing him that he had completed his mission and was resting. Mother and daughter have not seen each other for 3 days, so they mainly communicate via text messages and phone calls.

In the afternoon, a relative read the news in the newspaper and informed Phuc's mother. Not believing her ears, she called relatives to take them to the hospital and was almost unable to stand when she learned the truth that her son had died.

"Phuc is a very good child who always does everything to make his mother happy. A young man who has just reached the threshold of life, has not had time to experience everything, has to leave, leaving his mother alone," said one person. Phuc's mother's close friend said while waiting outside the funeral home.

As for the family of Lieutenant Colonel Dang Anh Quan, Chief of Fire and Rescue Department of Cau Giay District Police, the moment he entered the funeral home and saw his husband's body, the wife fainted and had to ask a doctor for an emergency. Among the three soldiers who died, Mr. Quan was the only one to have his own family with a wife and two sons.

Lieutenant Colonel Quan's uncle said he was a good person and got along with everyone. Since hearing the news, the extended family has come to the funeral home to bring his body home.
