Earlier, on the morning of March 16, customs officers checked the luggage suitcases of flight attendants of flight VN10 and discovered something unusual.

After checking, the authorities discovered in the suitcases of Thuy and Quynh there were 31 boxes of toothpaste with banned drugs, total weight of 2.18 kg.

12 boxes of ketamine (tray banned substance) weighing about 1 kg; Ngan's luggage contained 780 grams of banned drugs; Van's luggage contained more than 2 kg of banned drugs, 2 kg of ketamine and cocaine.

Currently, the case has not been prosecuted, the flight attendants are required to cooperate to serve the investigation, but have not yet prosecuted the accused and applied preventive measures. However, in the next few days, according to the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code, the procedure-conducting agency will have to prosecute the case (Article 143) and prosecute the accused (Article 179) for investigation.

According to lawyer Vo Dan (Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association), on the basis of current documents, data and testimonies, the flight attendants "didn't know that the goods being transported were banned substances". If they have evidence and documents proving that they do not know, do not intentionally carry out the act of illegally transporting banned substances... then according to the principle of presumption of innocence, they are not guilty.

The investigating agency will consider the traces and behavior of 4 flight attendants and related individuals; as well as collect documents, evidence, verify logical or contradictory circumstances in the case. If the flight attendants believe that they have not committed the act of illegally transporting banned substances, they must confess and clarify some information related to the contact process to receive goods and transport such goods.

Specifically, flight attendants must declare: who is the shipper? Which of them contact the shipper? the contact time to send the goods (from before flying over France, in France or any other time?); the relationship between the 4 flight attendants and the shipper (how do you know each other? What is the contact form?); contact process, information exchange (retrieve from the history of messages, calls, emails, other contact channels); sender information in France and recipient information in Vietnam; What is the basis for the flight attendants to fully believe that the goods are not banned and can be easily brought into Vietnam upon entry?...

"If during the course of investigation, verification and confession, the investigating agency finds that these circumstances are grounded and it is determined that a professional criminal is taking advantage of the flight attendants to send goods, then the flight attendants can may not be prosecuted, or may consider liability at a light level," said Mr.

In addition, it may also happen that one of the 4 flight attendants is the one who actively carries out the act of transporting banned substances. This person knows well the amount of banned substances to be transported and deliberately takes advantage of the trust in the crew to share transportation to Vietnam more easily than to transfer a large amount by himself.
