The special feature that makes these applications known by many people is the ability to change many details on the photo while retaining the features of the original photo.

However, in some cases, the "bad crying" defect of anime photos also comes from changing the details. Some common mistakes are adding long hair for men, mistakenly recognizing animals, objects as humans ...

Despite "storming" and attracting thousands of users right after launch, AI-style photo creation apps make some people skeptical about privacy-related issues.

Song Yuhao, an independent security researcher, said data leaks caused by external or internal attacks could raise serious concerns.

"Users' photos and information can be sold on the black market, leading to the risk of targeted fraud or other criminal activities," he told The Paper.

The proliferation of AI-generated content, particularly deepface technologies, has raised significant concerns about personal privacy and data protection in countries that allow people to download and use these apps.

In response to this growing threat, service providers have taken measures to strengthen their regulatory frameworks in recent months.
