Thanh Hoa: Postal truck burned to the frame, many goods burned

A truck carrying goods and mail suddenly caught fire while traveling to the intersection of National Highway 45 - Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa province). The fire did not cause any human casualties.

On August 26, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province Police informed that at about 8:52 p.m. last night (August 25) at the National Highway 45 - Nghi Son expressway intersection (Thanh Hoa Province), a postal vehicle caught fire.

At that time, a postal vehicle with license plate 89H-037.xx driven by Pham Van Ich (born in 1990, residing in district Y Yen, Nam Dinh province) was passing through the expressway intersection in Tan Truong commune, Nghi Son town when suddenly a fire broke out.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department dispatched 2 fire trucks and 13 officers and soldiers to the scene, coordinating with local forces to organize a fire fighting plan.

After nearly 30 minutes of firefighting efforts, the authorities were able to basically control the fire, promptly preventing it from spreading to the front of the car and surrounding areas.

The fire caused many goods and parcels on the vehicle to burn, fortunately there were no casualties. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the authorities.

Not long ago, a postal truck also suddenly caught fire in Quang Tri province. Accordingly, on the afternoon of March 13, news from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) of Quang Tri Provincial Police said that the unit had coordinated with authorities and people to control the fire of a truck carrying express mail.

Previously, at around 10:15 a.m. the same day, the Vinh Linh Fire Fighting and Rescue Team (under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police) received a report that a truck with license plate 29H-719.xx carrying express mail driven by Mr. Hoang Van Luan (42 years old, residing in Yen The, Bac Giang province) suddenly caught fire.

Authorities quickly arrived at the scene to put out the fire. After nearly an hour, the fire was brought under control and completely extinguished. The incident occurred while the vehicle was traveling on National Highway 1, through Ho Xa town, Vinh Linh district.

It is known that as soon as the truck caught fire, Vinh Linh District Police mobilized officers and soldiers to use fire extinguishers at the unit to handle the fire, preventing the fire from spreading. In addition, many local people also came to support the driver to move mail and goods out of the truck. However, many mail and goods in the truck were burned and damaged.

In 2021, a similar fire occurred in the two cases mentioned above. Accordingly, on the morning of September 26, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) of Quang Ngai Provincial Police said that they had promptly extinguished a postal vehicle that caught fire overnight while traveling on National Highway 1A through Duc Pho town.

At 2:15 a.m. the same day, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department received a report of a fire in a truck with license plate 43H-007.xx belonging to Thuan Phong Express Delivery Company Limited, Da Nang Branch, at the intersection of Sa Huynh bypass, Pho Thanh ward, Duc Pho town.

This truck was driven by Nguyen Duong (born in 1981, from Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province) and Tran Van Doan (born in 1990, from Thanh Khe district, Da Nang) transporting goods and parcels such as medical equipment, electronic equipment, clothes, etc. on National Highway 1A along the route from Da Nang to Vinh Long.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department dispatched 3 fire trucks, 1 fire pump and 20 officers and soldiers to the scene to participate in extinguishing the fire and rescuing property. By 3:45 a.m. the same day, the fire was under control, more than 70% of the packages were rescued in time.

Traffic Police of Quang Ngai Provincial Police, Duc Pho Town Police and Pho Thanh Ward Police were also present in time to direct traffic and ensure security and order in the area where the fire occurred.
