Thus, up to now, there have been 3 subjects involved in the case who confessed to enjoy leniency; The total number of subjects arrested up to this morning is 46 subjects.

According to a report by the Dak Lak Provincial Police, up to now, the security and order situation in the whole province of Dak Lak has returned to normal, the people's regular social activities have not changed.

Dak Lak Provincial Police continue to call on those who are "wrong astray" to quickly wake up and confess to enjoy the leniency of the law.

Earlier, at dawn on June 11, a group of people used weapons to attack the headquarters of the People's Committee and the office of the police in Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes (H.Cu Kuin) and some passersby.

Immediately after the incident, the Ministry of Public Security directed the Dak Lak Provincial Police and professional departments to arrest the criminal group. During the arrest, the functional forces recovered many weapons that this group used to commit crimes, including some military guns. The functional forces also successfully rescued two hostages and as of the evening of June 11, it was determined that no one was held hostage by the criminal group.

However, the incident caused Captain Tran Quoc Thang, police officer of Ea Tieu commune; Lieutenant Ha Tuan Anh, officer of the Ea Tieu Commune Police; Captain Hoang Trung, officer of the Ea Ktur Commune Police; Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Nhan, officer of the Ea Ktur Commune Police; Mr. Nguyen Van Kien, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ea Ktur Commune, and Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Ktur Commune, and 3 people died.

The incident also seriously injured Captain Le Kien Cuong (35 years old), police officer of Ea Ktur Commune, and Lieutenant Dam Dinh Bop (30 years old), Deputy Chief of Police of Ea Ktur Commune.

Up to now, the investigation of the scene at the two places where the incident happened has basically been completed. Immediately after arresting the subjects, Dak Lak Provincial Police coordinated with functional units to fight and take statements to clarify the nature of this serious case.

Initially identified, the group of perpetrators mostly resided in other districts in Dak Lak province, gathered and dragged to Cu Kuin district to commit the crime; in which many subjects reside in Krong Buk district.

The above target group has assigned tasks, planned and given guns and weapons of all kinds to each person. Among them are some names who are lured, manipulated, promised money and material later to participate in committing crimes.

This group of subjects is aggressive, reckless, violent, armed with guns, knives, hammers, grenades, petrol bombs...

They moved by motorbike to the headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur, suddenly attacked with guns, petrol bombs.... then smashed and destroyed. In which, the reception office of the headquarters of Ea Tieu commune suffered heavy damage. All machinery and documents were burned.

In two places, the subjects violently used weapons to attack, causing a number of commune police officers to die and be injured. After that, they flooded the street to attack, killing 2 commune officials and 3 villagers.

The group of subjects claimed that they received orders to shoot, kill... When they were arrested, they declared and expressed remorse and regret for their actions.

On the same day, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province and the Public Security of Dak Lak province held a memorial and farewell ceremony and held a ceremony to award "Fatherland's merits" to the relatives of 6 martyrs (4 martyrs of the Ministry of Public Security, two martyrs of the Ministry of Public Security). of Dak Lak province) died on June 11, 2023 in the case of a group of people using weapons to attack the headquarters of the People's Committee of two communes Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur, Cu Kuin district.

Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh granted the "Fatherland's merit" diplomas to 06 martyrs who died in the incident in Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province.
