According to information from his family, Artist Tieu Lang died at 2:30 a.m. on January 3, at the ag.e of 97. The visitation took place at 7:30 a.m. on January 7 at the Funeral Home of the Vietnamese-Soviet Friendship Hospital. The memorial service will be held at 8:45 a.m. on the same day.

Meritorious Artist Tieu Lang is a familiar name on the stage of Cai Luong in the Capital for a time. He was born in 1929, his real name is Nguyen Van Loc, in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi. As the younger brother of the owner of the Kim Chung reform troupe, since childhood, he has participated in kindergarten classes with her, following her to learn all kinds of skills.

In his youth, artist Tieu Lang was a good man, and often accompaniment for performances. He also undertook the task of accounting for the delegation. Due to often accompaniment for Mrs. Kim Xuan Ca, feelings gradually arose between the two artists, then got married at a very young ag.e.

During the war against the United States, Mr. Tieu Lang also served in the Quang Tri Fire Line. He worked at the Southern Cai Luong Troupe, the Central Cai Luong Theater (the leader of the 1st Art Troupe of the theater) and the Voice of Vietnam Radio.

The first joint performance of the two was Mutual Hatred (People's Artist Dao Mong Long). Since then, Kim Xuan - Tieu Lang has been associated with the fates in operas such as The Life of Miss Luu, The Virgin of Xuan Huong, The Peony Fairy. In particular, with the role of Kim Trong - Thuy Kieu, the couple became top and famous artists at one time.

By the 1950s, the pair Kim Xuan - Tieu Lang was an indispensable singer in Kim Chung's performances. Their stage names are printed in large size on advertising posters.

Artist Tieu Lang also participated in the famous movie Kiep Hoa produced by the owner of the Kim Chung theater. This is the first film that resonated in Vietnam, set in the evacuation of Hanoi people at that time.

Later, due to the changes of the times, the Kim Chung delegation had many changes. Some artists moved to Saigon, the pair of artists Kim Xuan - Tieu Lang and the rest of the members in Hanoi maintained the group's activities, changing its name to the Golden Bell Cai Luong troupe. Artist Tieu Lang has two daughters, of which, the second son is People's Artist Nhu Quynh. She is famous as a talented person of Vietnamese cinema. Before becoming famous in the film industry, People's Artist Nhu Quynh was a Cai Luong actor. She studied Cai Luong Faculty of Hanoi Art Intermediate School in the first course. After graduating in 1972, she returned to work at the Golden Bell Cai Luong troupe.

Talking to Dan Viet, People's Artist Nhu Quynh once shared: "Cai Luong is the profession of my family, from my grandfather, grandfather to my parents. I followed Cai Luong for 10 years, but in the end, because of fate, I chose cinema. When I was invited to participate in Come See You Again, I was only 20 years old, I didn't have much experience, so some scenes had to be re-enacted many times."

The film produced in 1974 is associated with Nhu Quynh's name. In the film, she plays the role of Net - a beautiful sister with a busy life, force.d to marry the son of a rich bald family, her mother died on the day she got married and her boyfriend was arrested. The film Arrival won a series of honors later with the Golden Lotus for Best Plastic Feature Film at the 1975 Vietnam Film Festival. Artist Nhu Quynh won the Lotusmiles Award for Best Actress. Despite being famous, People's Artist Nhu Quynh said that at that time most of the actors were not abundant: "We made a film that took at least six months to more than a year and a half. In 1988, artist Nhu Quynh was awarded the title of Outstanding Artist. After 9 years, she was awarded the title of People's Artist. At the end of 2007, she won the Best Foreign Actor award from SBS Korea for her role as a mother in the 64-episode drama Golden Bride.

Talking about her current life, People's Artist Nhu Quynh said that she lives simply. "Every day, if I don't go to make movies, I stay at home to take care of food and housework for my family. Every morning, I get up to massage and exercise, and in the afternoon I do gentle activities with my husband," she shared.
