Artist Hieu Canh's real name is Tran Van Canh. He is the adopted son of singer Tran Van Chau (Chin Chau) and artist Le Khanh. With a special appearance, Hieu Canh always plays the role of a clown, being called by the audience his name "Clown Le". After many changes of the times, he turned to the art of Cai Luong and stuck with the Huynh Long ancient troupe to this day.

In addition to his main job in Huynh Long's troupe, artist Hieu Canh also regularly participates in communal singing sessions. The male artist currently lives in a small house on the outskirts of Thu Duc City. Previously, he used to have a house in Phu Nhuan district (Ho Chi Minh City). Ho Chi Minh City), mainly for acting and sleeping. Although he does not leave many valuable assets in the house, artist Hieu Canh is often "visited" by thieves when he performs.

"Thieves are like stalking me, every time I see the outer door locked, I go in and search the house. I was prying the door and stealing up to 6 times. Although I don't have any valuable property in my house, the thieves still destroy and rummage through the furniture. I even had to put a piece of paper in front of the door to bow to the thieves saying, 'I beg the thieves not to pry at my door anymore, there is nothing to take'. The neighbors around him didn't care at all. After that, I decided to sell that house and move here," he said.

Artist Hieu Canh shared that his life has experienced many ups and downs. The male artist revealed that when his adoptive parents died, he left him 90 gold trees, but because of his desire to play, the property left one after another. He confided: "I spend with my friends, go out to eat all night all morning. I have money, so I will also fix it, and I will buy something beautiful when I see it. My friends invited me to sell gold to go drinking, to hang out with friends, I didn't regret anything. I live very comfortably because I think I don't have a wife and children. When I lost my position, I borrowed 5 million VND without anyone lending me. That was also my lesson, but it was too late. Now I am very bored with life, I no longer want to communicate with anyone."

At the age of 72, the male artist is alone, without a wife and children. He confided that he used to be very peachy, there were also some love affairs but they didn't go anywhere. Some people even had children with him, but because they wanted to get rich, they broke down to marry someone else.

"I went to clean the annex house and accidentally saw the paper that destroyed the child. I was stunned, held the abortion paper, waited for her to go to the market, and then asked why I did it. After sitting and talking for a while, I understood that she didn't want to marry me because my family was poor. At that time, my father had died, only my mother was left, so she was very poor.

I also asked directly: "You're going to have another husband, right?". She cried when she heard it. I continued, "I hate you! If you are afraid of suffering, you can give birth to a child and adopt me, you can marry anyone. I don't have children, I don't have a happy child who wants to die, but I did that," the male artist recounted.

Later, he found out that his girlfriend was promised marriage by a market owner, so she decided to leave her child to follow this person. "Since then, I haven't seen her again. Now she is still alive, the same age as me, but I don't know where she is and I don't need to see her. I am decisive, I have quit, I have never looked at my face," artist Hieu Canh confided.

After this love story, it was difficult for him to open his heart to anyone, partly because his mother was quite difficult. He once brought back 2 girlfriends, but his mother criticized them. "I took my girlfriend home, my mom just didn't like it, I didn't take it," the male artist said.

When his mother died, artist Hieu Canh knew another woman, but this person had a child of his own. He was afraid that his economic conditions were not very abundant, and it would be difficult to support his wife's stepchildren. "I am poor, so I don't dare to become their stepfather, afraid that I will not be able to raise them. That was the last person I knew, since then I haven't known anyone and live alone until now," he said.

"Now I live peacefully, peacefully, go home after singing. Now I go to sing in the Huynh Long troupe 1 or 2 times a month, usually I live on the money to sing at the communal house. Depending on the season, there are times when I sing a lot, but there are months when I just sit and play. I have a TV as a friend, so I don't feel sad, just turn on the TV and watch movies, watch programs and laugh to myself," artist Hieu Canh confided.

The male artist shared that although there were ups and downs, he was still lucky when he was still performing, with a small roof to shade the sun and rain. In addition, artist Hieu Canh is also popular with many juniors in the profession such as Trinh Trinh, Binh Tinh... loving and ready to support.

"Now I will try to sing until there is no breath left. If I don't have the strength in the future, I will sell the house and move into a certain temple. I just wish that when I die, I don't tell anyone. Because in this life, fame is just an unreal name, and then people will forget about themselves," he added.
