He said that this is a project that my brother and I have been thinking about for a long time. Since 2019, I have started writing the script for Heroic Bloodline 2. This is a story about my grandfather's life, so it was very difficult to write because a person's life has many complex ups and downs, and when I sat down to write a script that was only two hours long, I had to filter out the most essential things to summarize it.

If Heroic Bloodline 1 is a summary, describing a historical period, then part two focuses deeply on a real character, which is Nhan Trang Ca Mau. Therefore, every detail in the story must be expressed in the most accurate and truthful way.

I started a very detailed research and study process, which took over a year to complete. When I showed the manuscript to Charlie, he was very excited and really liked the idea.

However, when we entered the script development stage, the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, forcing us to switch to working online. And you understand, when making a film and having to hold online meetings, it is impossible to have the real atmosphere of work. The enthusiasm, emotion and vibration for the work seemed to be lost. At some point, everyone started to feel discouraged and gradually withdrew from the project.

I myself felt demotivated and had to put the script aside. However, the desire to make Heroic Bloo.d 2 was always there. But at that time, I could not be sure when we could continue this project.

Despite many challenges and difficulties, from thorough research to working in the context of the pandemic, Heroic Bloo.d 2 has always been a passionate project for me and my colleagues in the profession. Despite many obstacles, the passion for cinema and the desire to bring a quality work have never faded.
