NS Vu Duc died of a violent illness: Without his wife and children to take care of him, his sister revealed the last minute of his life

Artist Vu Duc - famous for many comedies in the 1990s - died at the age of 71 from terminal lung cancer. At the time of his birth, he made the audience sad with the image of illness, having to rely on his sister's family at the age of twilight.

Vu Duc (SN 1953) is a famous comedian in the 80s and 90s associated with plays such as Cao Cao, Bring Me Back to My Motherland, Ra Geng Anh Marry Me... Despite his modest height, he is loved by many people thanks to his graceful and humorous style.

The male artist is a close co-star of artists Hong Nga, My Chi... and won the Gold Medal of the National Professional Theater Festival as Mr. Loc in the play Dream Without a Name in 1995.

In 2005, artist Vu Duc suddenly suffered a stroke, since then he has been unable to continue his artistic activities. The sequelae of the accident caused the male artist's limbs to twitch, making it difficult to move, so he had to stay at home for many years.

In March 2023, actors Phi Phung, Phuong Dung and a number of other artists visited artist Vu Duc's house, and revealed his situation.

It is known that for many years, artist Vu Duc has lived alone in a small house near Hiep Binh Phuoc market, Thu Duc city. The artist and his wife divorced from the time he fell ill. His son still visits him from time to time. However, his daily activities had to rely on the help of his sister's family - Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hoang - next door.

Mr. Huynh Duy Khuong (born 1984) - grandson of artist Vu Duc - said that the male artist could not live and take care of himself. Even urinating has to rely on the help of others. Several times he fell in the toilet while trying to move on his own.

In addition to the sequelae of the accident, artist Vu Duc has also had heart disease and diabetes in his body for many years. At the same time, he also suffers from deafness, unable to speak clearly, which affects his life quite a lot.

The grandson of artist Vu Duc said: "Although he has a serious illness in his body, he still keeps an optimistic and happy spirit. The deafness makes him poorly aware of society as well as unable to update external life news. Every month, his family takes him to the hospital for examination and medicine. The condition only lasts through the day, but it is difficult to cure."

According to Mr. Duy Khuong, his family's economy is only "enough to eat enough", so he can only take care of rice and water every day for artist Vu Duc.

"My family is a common worker, not well-off. We could only take care of his daily meals. Every day, family members take turns taking care of him, taking care of anything. Now I just hope he doesn't get seriously ill, I'm afraid my family won't be worried," Mr. Duy Khuong shared.

Although the illness has to stay at home, "Five Cu" in Ra Gieng Anh Marry Em always expresses his nostalgia for the stage. Vu Duc clearly remembers each of his past roles and often mentions his contemporaries.

Some colleagues out of pity for the situation of artist Vu Duc still occasionally visit and support his living expenses.

Recently, Mr. Nguyen Trung - Chief of the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association - said that the artist died on the morning of August 31 after being treated for a violent illness. Half a month ago, his condition deteriorated, and the hospital returned him. In the past few days, he has only been lying on oxygen, occasionally eating a few cups of milk and porridge.

Director Thanh Hiep said that at the end of his life, he was helped by many colleagues. For many years in a row, he was named in the list of the program Artist of Wisdom, organized by the Diamond People's Artist. Every time on the occasion of Tet, he is often driven by his nephew from Binh Duong to the Ho Chi Minh City Theater to receive gifts and meet friends.

Recently, the group of artists Ngu Long Duc visited the funeral of artist Vu Duc. Artist Phuong Dung shared:

"Now it's raining very hard outside, we just finished filming, very tired, we were going to go home to rest, but we received the news that artist Vu Duc had died, so we had to visit him. We were lucky to see Mr. Vu Duc for the last time because we had just finished visiting him the other day.

Well, thinking that death is the end, our group went down to Binh Duong in the rain to visit his funeral. The most sinful thing is that Thuy Muoi had to wear the rain to ride a motorbike down there alone. I told Thuy Muoi to stay at home, let me and Phi Phung go, but Muoi is already gone.

The day before, Tien Luat and our team sent money to visit Mr. Vu Duc. Today we deducted the group's money to visit him, there was another audience in France who sent 5 million VND, plus some other audiences. We didn't call for it, but the audience saw the clip, so they actively contacted us to send money, we thank you very much."

Artist Vu Duc's sister was the one who took care of her brother's funeral. She shared at the funeral: "I raised my brother for decades. Before Mr. Vu Duc died, I went out to wipe his body. At that time, he said to me "you're so tired", as he said two lines of tears flowed from his eyes.

I wiped his tears with a towel and said, "Come on, just recite the Buddha, don't think about it." So then he closed his eyes and died.

He was so weak, but before he died, he was still very conscious, lying in one place, but everyone who came knew it."
