NewJeans fans are extremely upset by HYPE Group's behavior towards the group of ADOR company - the management unit of the group. Specifically, fans suspect the girls are being treated unfairly, following Min Hee Jin's row with HYPE.

ADOR and Min Hee Jin also implicitly "hinted" that HYBE hindered the business, to the detriment of NewJeans itself on the eve of the important project. In the past, only the group Instagram account updated posts about the members' personal schedules. The latest activity is sharing photos of eldest sister Minji's birthday. Fans are upset that HYBE is neglecting NewJeans' necessary social activities during the "boiling water" period. The comeback product is already prepared, but promotion is being interrupted because of the "civil war". Fans are concerned for NewJeans, criticizing HYBE.

Earlier, the conflict between ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin – who is also the main producer of NewJeans – and parent group HYBE exploded, shocking the Korean entertainment world.

HYBE conducted a surprise audit of ADOR on April 22, due to suspicions that CEO Min Hee Jin and his associates were trying to gain control of ADOR. However, after Min Hee Jin's press conference on April 25, Korean public opinion gradually turned. The internal conflict of the management company comes as NewJeans is preparing to release a new album that has affected the group's activities. NewJeans fans were upset when HYBE did not make any promotional moves for the opening MV "Bubble Gum" released on April 27. On HYBE's YouTube channel and NewJeans' TikTok channel held by HYBE, there are no activities to increase the recognition of this MV.

However, "Bubble Gum" still proved its attraction when the MV had 8 days at the top of YouTube Korea's music trend chart. In addition, the song has not been released on digital music platforms, but entered the Billboard Global US chart at number 166.
