Jungkook (BTS), NewJeans dominate Kpop in 2023, BLACKPINK disappears in this chart

Rookie group NewJeans and Jungkook (BTS) dominate the rankings of the top 10 most popular songs on Korean Youtube. BLACKPINK is stuck in the competition, disappearing on the honor board, sadly losing to their juniors.

Korean media reported on December 29 that among the 10 most popular songs on YouTube Music in Korea in 2023, BTS's Jungkook and NewJeans appeared, but Blackpink's Jisoo disappeared. Meanwhile, BlackPink's senior generation disappeared on this chart.

At the end of 2023, YouTube released the top 10 most popular songs on YouTube Music in Korea in 2023 (data from January 26, 2023 to December 21, 2023). In particular, NewJeans has up to 4 songs in this top 10 chart. Specifically, the song OMG ranked 2nd with 114.42 million streams, ranked 3rd was Ditto with 111 million streams. 9th and 10th respectively are Super Shy (70.83 million streams) and Hype Boy (69.01 million streams). The margin of error for the survey is 2 points for the 13 to 39 age group and 1.9 points for the 40 and older group, with a 95% confidence level.

In the 13 to 39 age group, NewJeans took first place with 27% of the votes. NewJeans is a new group that debuted in July 2022 and has quickly become a phenomenon with incredible growth.
