Notably, besides many other food stalls, Will especially emphasized Xuan Son's favorite banana cake stall. Notably, besides this Western guest's feelings about the banana cake here, the scene of customers coming to buy the goods was also noticed.

In fact, for many people living in Nam Dinh, this banana cake shop was already considered quite delicious, loved by many people, so it was crowded. After being known through the images of football player Xuan Son coming to buy, it became even more crowded. And since then, people often call this place Xuan Son banana cake shop for easy remembering.

Before Will, many TikTokers came here to try and review. The banana cake here costs 10k/piece and is considered to be very large in size. The ripe banana inside has been rolled thinly, then covered with 2 layers of flour and fried, so the cake is very puffy and crispy. The banana inside is fried ho.t, very sweet. When trying the banana cake here, Will seemed quite excited, especially when it was cold, so it tasted even better.

Notably, when Will came to buy banana bread, he was very surprised to see customers shopping here. Each person brought home a rather large bag with a lot of bread inside. Seeing that, Will couldn't help but ask them why there were so many banana breads. The female customers also happily replied that it was because "the family has many children" so they bought a lot.

Last year 2024, the image of player Nguyen Xuan Son and his wife buying banana cakes at a sidewalk stall in Nam Dinh City attracted a lot of attention and comments. Player Xuan Son often buys banana cakes from a vendor on the sidewalk of Nguyen Du Street intersecting with Bac Ninh, near Nguyen Khuyen High School (Nam Dinh City).

Mr. Vu Van Dat (33 years old, owner of Nam Dinh banana cake cart) shared: "Football player Xuan Son and his family often come to buy fried banana cakes from my family. The image being shared on social media was taken by me a few months ago. In recent days, after Xuan Son's impressive performance, many people have shared it again, attracting attention and creating a good effect."

After learning the trade from an acquaintance in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Dat returned to Nam Dinh to sell banana cakes from the end of 2021. His cake cart sells from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with fried bananas, sweet potato cakes and fried coconut cakes, priced at 10,000 VND/piece. According to Mr. Dat, to make delicious fried banana cakes, the banana chosen is the western banana (also known as the goong banana), ripe at the right time. Before frying, the bananas are pressed thinly about 20cm, then dipped in flour and fried in a pan of oil, so that the cake crust is crispy, evenly cooked, the inside is soft, and retains the aroma of the banana.

After the success of the Vietnamese team at the ASEAN Cup 2024, the banana cake shop suddenly became famous, appearing on many social networking sites such as TikTok and Facebook. "After Xuan Son made his mark at the international tournament, the image of him eating fried bananas was 'dug up' and the shop became famous on social networks, attracting a 'huge' number of customers to buy. Open from 1pm to 7pm every day, selling 200 cakes a day, sometimes 'crazy'," said Mr. Dat.

Nguyen Cam Tu (30 years old) is the owner of the channel Co Gai Nam Dinh, who often reviews restaurants in Nam Dinh, and was one of the diners who came here to try the food right after the first leg of the final. She said: "On January 4, as soon as I learned that Xuan Son often comes to this restaurant, I came here to experience and film a review video. Before that, this restaurant was quite famous in Nam Dinh city. Currently, the restaurant is very crowded, sometimes customers have to wait more than an hour for the cake. Many people have to leave because they can't wait long."
