Xuan Son's family celebrates Tet at the hospital, loves a new dish besides fried bananas

To facilitate treatment, Xuan Son and his family will celebrate Lunar New Year in the hospital. The player's wife is eagerly preparing many things, she also revealed that her two children and herself are very fond of a new dish besides fried bananas.

According to Thanh Nien newspaper, the story of Xuan Son, a striker for the Vietnamese national team, has attracted the attention of fans when he and his wife decided not to celebrate Tet in Nam Dinh but to stay in Hanoi to recuperate at the hospital. The male player's injury needs to be closely monitored, so staying in the hospital will be more convenient.

During the treatment process, Xuan Son received great attention and encouragement from fans as well as teammates. Especially indispensable was the mental care from his family, wife and children, helping Xuan Son gain more strength to focus on treatment and recovery. At the same time, he was also taken care of wholeheartedly by the medical team at Vinmec, helping him recover on schedule.

Doctor Nguyen Trong Thuy (former doctor of the Vietnam national team) said: "Xuan Son's recovery process is divided into four stages, lasting at least 6 months, with the ultimate goal of helping him train at maximum intensity and return to competition. This shows that, despite the serious injury, with the right treatment method and adherence to the recovery roadmap, Xuan Son's ability to return to the field is very high."

According to Dan Tri newspaper, the moment her husband was in the operating room, Marcele couldn't sit still, she prayed that the surgery would go smoothly. When the doctor came out and announced that the surgery was successful, the whole family breathed a sigh of relief. The concern and affection of fans made Xuan Son's family surprised and touched.

"Xuan Son's mother has diabetes so she cannot travel a long distance from Brazil to Vietnam. Every day, the whole family still talks to my husband on the phone. When they first heard the news, Xuan Son's parents and siblings were worried. Now everyone is more at ease knowing that he is being taken care of very well," Marcele confided.

For Xuan Son's family, this year's Lunar New Year will be more special than previous years. Marcele revealed: "Xuan Son will be in the hospital for another 2 weeks, then return to the apartment I am renting and go to the hospital for outpatient rehabilitation until he returns to the football field."

In previous years, Tet was the time for the whole family to rest, stroll around the streets of Nam Dinh to feel the bustling atmosphere. This year, Xuan Son's family can celebrate Tet in Hanoi. During the Tet holiday, he must follow the diet and exercise regimen prescribed by the doctor. This year is the 6th year that Marcele and her husband have celebrated the Lunar New Year in Vietnam. She still remembers that the first time she came to Vietnam was also right at the time of Tet.

"The first time I celebrated Tet here, I felt strange because a lot of shops were closed, the usually crowded streets became quiet. After searching for information online and getting some explanations from friends, I knew that this was a familiar scene during the Vietnamese Tet holiday," Marcele shared.

The Brazilian gir.l enjoyed the bustling atmosphere, the image of women wearing traditional ao dai, families decorating their houses, the streets filled with flowers... In particular, Xuan Son's wife was impressed with the way Vietnamese people wrap square banh chung from dong leaves and ingredients such as rice, green beans, and pork. "My son was taught how to make banh chung by his teachers at kindergarten. The children loved it and even brought it home to show their mother. My family has tried banh chung, it's delicious and easy to eat," Marcele confided.

Every few days, Marcele takes her two sons to the hospital to visit their father. The children may not fully understand the challenges that Xuan Son is trying to overcome. However, every time she sees her children babbling and talking to their father at his hospital bedside, she feels that she cherishes the peaceful moments in the family's second homeland.
